Start your adventure at Victoria Falls where the water drops 100m into the Batoka gorge. After checking out this natural wonder, the rest of your day is open. Wander through town, look around the artisan markets and shops, or try optional activities like white water rafting, bungee jumping, scenic flights, or gorge swinging if you're interested.

Hwange National Park
Head into Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe's largest park with over 100 animal species including Africa's Big 5, African Wild Dogs, and cheetahs. This afternoon you'll board an open 4x4 vehicle with a local guide for a game drive. The park has over 40,000 elephants in herds up to 100 strong, and you'll see over 400 bird species too.

Hwange to Matobo National Park
Leave Hwange and travel towards Matobo National Park, stopping in Bulawayo for supplies along the way. Once you reach the campsite, the afternoon is yours to explore the area at your own pace.

Matobo National Park
Get into open 4x4 vehicles to explore Matobo National Park with sweeping views of granite boulders. Weather permitting, you can do a walking safari tracking endangered rhinos on foot. There's an optional full-day extension that includes historical tours of Bushman paintings and a visit to World's View where Cecil John Rhodes is buried.

Great Zimbabwe
Travel east to Masvingo and visit Great Zimbabwe National Monument in the afternoon. This UNESCO World Heritage Site from 1200 AD once housed around 10,000 people and was a major trading hub with Persia, China, and India. You can climb the steep route up to the mountain fortress for views of the surrounding countryside.

Zimbabwe to Mozambique
Travel via Mutare and stop at Birchenough Bridge if time allows, one of eastern Zimbabwe's scenic spots. Continue to the Zimbabwe-Mozambique border and complete the formalities, then head to the Bandula area next to Chicamba Dam where you'll stay in a 550-hectare conservancy.

Bazaruto Archipelago
Pack up and travel to the Indian Ocean coast, arriving in Vilankulo which sits about 500km south of Beira. Board a dhow boat and sail to your beachside camp for the next two nights. Late afternoon and evening are yours to unwind and soak in the calm of this coastal area.

Magaruque Island
Take a dhow boat to Magaruque Island, the third island in the Bazaruto Archipelago and closest to Vilankulo. Spend your day snorkeling, swimming, walking, or relaxing on the beach. Lunch gets served before you sail back to the mainland late afternoon. These warm waters home to endangered Dugongs and other marine species.

Vilankulo to Tofo
Travel the coastal road past villages through Inhambane and reach Tofo, where you'll stay two nights. This small beach town has open beaches and resorts along the shore. Optional activities include horse riding, snorkeling, and scuba diving, plus bars and restaurants serving local drinks and food.

Free Day
Take a free day to relax on the local tropical beaches. Go on a scuba dive to see the reefs and colorful marine life, or visit Inhambane to explore its rich history. Climb the ladder at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Conception for good views, or browse the local markets with fresh fish and farm produce.

Mozambique to South Africa
Cross from Mozambique into South Africa heading for Kruger National Park. You'll stay just outside the reserve in Hazyview. After settling in, experience Shangaan tribal singing and dancing around an open fire to learn about their culture and traditions.

Kruger National Park Full Day Game Drive
Spend a full day game driving in Kruger. Meet your local guides and board an open 4x4 vehicle looking for 150 mammal species and over 500 bird species. Your guides choose routes based on recent game movements. You'll take a break during the hotter midday hours at a rest camp, then continue driving in the afternoon before returning late afternoon. Night game drives are available as an optional add-on.
