Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Nepal to Bahundanda
You'll arrive at the airport and get picked up for your hotel transfer. Your guide meets you there to go over the trek details and answer any questions. From there you'll drive to Besisahar and Bahundanda, where the actual trekking starts with a short hike to get your legs moving.

Bahundanda to Chyamje
The trek takes you from Bahundanda to Chyamje over about 6 hours. Most of it's downhill through paddy fields, and you'll see snow-capped peaks on the horizon along the way. Lunch happens by the river where there's a waterfall, and you'll likely cross paths with other trekkers heading in different directions.

Chyamje to Bagarchhap
After breakfast, it's a 6-hour walk from Chyamje to Bagarchhap. You'll cross a suspension bridge and pass through Dharapani, where trekkers heading to the Manaslu circuit typically split off. If you're interested, there's an optional 30-minute walk from Bagarchhap down to Danaque, which sits in the deepest gorge of Kaligandaki.

Bagarchhap to Chame
Today's a 7-hour trek from Bagarchhap to Chame through jungle terrain with waterfalls and small villages along the way. The views open up to show you Manaslu and Annapurna, with Lamjung Himal becoming visible once you reach Chame. There's an optional hot spring if you feel like crossing the river after you arrive.

Chame to Pisang
The walk from Pisang to Chame takes about 5 to 6 hours and mostly follows forest roads, rivers, and passes through villages. You'll end up at Lower Pisang, though your guide can arrange a trip to Upper Pisang if you want to see the monastery there, which sits on the opposite side of the valley.

Pisang to Manang
Getting to Manang offers you two choices for the route. One goes via Nagwol ridge walk for panoramic views but includes uphill and downhill sections, while the other follows the easier road through open river valley. Both paths take you through Humde (which has an airport) and Braka with its historic monastery.

Manang
Manang is your acclimatization day at altitude, so there's no long trekking. You can do optional 1-hour hikes instead. Visit the monastery on the ridge for views of the village and mountains, walk to Gangapurna Lake across the river, hike from the lake to a viewpoint with yak sheds, or spend the afternoon walking around and watching local activities in the village.

Manang to Ledar
Trek from Manang to Ledar takes about 6 hours. Ledar sits 1 hour beyond Yak Kharka viewpoint and gives you a strategic spot to avoid crowds while keeping tomorrow's walk to High Camp shorter. The village has great sunset and sunrise views if you get up early.

Landmarks/POIs Ledar Yak Kharka - Day 9
Ledar to High Camp
The 5-hour trek from Ledar to High Camp happens at elevation, so pace matters. You'll cross a suspension bridge over the river, then pass through a rocky area with some rock fall exposure (your guide helps you through). After reaching a small village at the base of a rock formation called Phedi, it's another 2 hours uphill to High Camp. Keep moving slowly to save your energy.

Landmarks/POIs Phedi High Camp - Day 10
High Camp to Muktinath via Thorong La Pass
Start before sunrise and head from High Camp to Thorong La Pass, the circuit's highest point at 5416 meters, which takes about 2 hours. The climb isn't steep but altitude makes it tough, so go slow and stay with your guide. From the pass, you'll see Mt. Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, and Dhampus Peak, then walk on flat ground through Base Camp and on to Muktinath, where a Hindu and Buddhist temple sits in a dry, Tibetan-like landscape.

Muktinath to Jomsom
The trek from Muktinath to Jomsom covers 7 to 8 hours on flat, easy terrain through deserted landscapes. You'll pass villages like Jharkot and Kagbeni with views of Dhaulagiri Himal. Jomsom is one of the biggest villages on the whole circuit, and from there you can optionally fly to Pokhara instead of continuing by road.

Jomsom to Tatopani
A short bus ride of about 1 hour takes you from Jomsom to Tatopani. This is your relaxation day after 11 days of trekking, and the natural hot springs here are perfect for soaking your feet and loosening tired muscles. Spend the evening with your guides, porters, and fellow trekkers since this is the last night with the whole group.

Landmarks/POIs Tatopani Hot Springs - Day 13
Tatopani to Pokhara
The 7-hour drive from Jomsom brings you back to Pokhara and civilization after 12 days in the mountains. Your hotel is near Phewa Lake, so you can take a boat out to see Lake House or the small island temple of Goddess Barahi if you're up for it. The city has pubs and clubs if you want to experience the nightlife, but get some early rest since the bus to Kathmandu leaves in the morning.
