Shovan, with passion and insight, shared his deep knowledge of Nepalese culture, religion, and traditions. We learned so much in such a short time—it was truly fascinating to absorb it all through such an organic and immersive experience. Kumar then safely guided us through the mountains. Motivation was definitely needed at times, and his famous —“Only 10 minutes left!”—still rings in my mind like mantra! 😉. We stayed in a variety of unique places and had the chance to meet so many incredible people along the way. What stood out most was the local touch: Shovan and Kumar made sure to support small, local businesses and arranged accommodations that reflected the authentic spirit of Nepal. Shovan and Kumar are the most amazing guides with lots of knowledge about the history of Nepal and they can literally answer every question. :) they always gave us the best recommendations for restaurants, shops or massage studios. And they are super funny! I can definitely recommend to book a trip with dragon trip but be prepared for lots of driving as the round conditions in Nepal are really terrible. During the first week you get to know the local culture and religion, Shovan was really knowledgeable and it really helped to get to understand this beautiful country better. And we spent the second week with Kumar getting out into nature, with the national park and a really nice trek along the Annapurna trail. Everyone was really supportive and they always tried to accommodate our needs. Please note that the tour does include a 3-Day hike in the Himalayas and quite a lot of driving on terrible roads. You can also choose to do a Yoga retreat if you'd prefer not to do the hike.
