Bucharest to Ramnicu Valcea
Your local guide meets you at Bucharest International Airport and drives you to Ramnicu Valcea. Once you check in at your hotel, you'll have dinner and settle in for the evening.

Ramnicu Valcea to Sibiu
The drive takes you to Transylvania where you'll see the 14th-century Cozia Monastery, then continue to Sibiu for a walking tour covering the Grand Square, Little Square, Liar's Bridge, Brukenthal Palace, and Evangelic Cathedral. After lunch, you visit the Museum of Glass Icons in Sibiel village and meet some locals. Dinner features traditional food with wine and schnaps back in Sibiu before you head to your hotel for the night.

Sibiu to Cluj Napoca
You travel to Hunedoara to tour the 14th-century gothic Hunyadi Castle, then head to Alba Iulia to explore the largest Vauban fortress in Transylvania along with its Catholic and Orthodox cathedrals. The afternoon brings you to the famous Turda salt mine. By evening you'll be in Cluj Napoca having dinner at your hotel.

- Day 4
Cluj Napoca
From Sibiu you head to Hunedoara to see the 14th-century Corvin Castle, touring it and checking out the torture exhibition and Nebosia Tower. Next you travel to Alba Iulia to discover the Citadel of Alba Carolina, one of Eastern Europe's largest Vauban fortresses with seven distinctive bastions. A guided medieval tour walks you through the area before you drive to Cluj Napoca for check-in.

- Day 5
Cluj Napoca to Bucovina
You'll head to the Maramures region and board the historic steam train Mocanita for a ride along the Wasser Valley, complete with a barbeque out in nature. After that you visit the Bogdan Voda Church, a wooden structure that's quite something to see. Crossing the Eastern Carpathian Mountains takes you to Bucovina where you'll have dinner at your hotel.

By evening you check in at your hotel in Piatra Neamt and have dinner.

Piatra Neamt to Sighisoara
After breakfast you drive through the Bicaz Gorges with a stop at the Red Lake, arriving in Sighisoara around noon. The walking tour covers the Clock Tower, Dracula's birth house, and Church on the Hill. You'll try a brandy tasting at a local wine cellar and finish with dinner at your hotel.

Tulcea

Tulcea to Bucharest

Walking through the historic Old Town comes next, finishing with a farewell dinner at a historic restaurant featuring entertainment and wine.
