Itinerary
- Day 1
Frankfurt to Cairo
You'll fly into Cairo and check into your hotel, then meet the group at a welcome dinner. This gives you a chance to get oriented and meet your fellow travelers before the adventure really kicks off.

- Day 2
Saqqara - Giza
Start at the Step Pyramid in Saqqara, an ancient necropolis that shows some of Egypt's earliest monumental architecture. After grabbing lunch, you'll head to Giza to see the Pyramid of Khufu and the Sphinx. The contrast between these sites really shows how Egyptian building evolved over centuries.

Alexandria - Cairo
Travel to Alexandria, the historic Mediterranean port city on the coast. You'll walk through the catacombs and amphitheater, then visit the Citadel fortress and the Library. It's a full day of exploring, and you'll head back to Cairo by evening.

- Day 4
Cairo
Spend the day in Cairo checking out the Egyptian Museum with its collection of ancient artifacts. From there, walk to the Alabaster Mosque and Saladin Citadel in the Islamic Old City, then wander through Khan al-Khalili bazaar where you can browse shops and soak in the atmosphere. The group has dinner together to wrap up the day.

Cairo to Aswan
Fly to Aswan and visit the Aswan Dam, a significant engineering project from the 1960s. Check out the unfinished obelisk at the old quarry to see what happened when ancient stonecutting went wrong. Later, take a boat to Agilkia Island to see the Temple of Philae, which was relocated to save it from flooding.

- Day 6
Aswan
You have the morning to yourself, so rest up or explore Aswan on your own. There's an optional trip to Abu Simbel if you want to see Ramses II's colossal rock temples (you can book this locally). In the afternoon, sail around Elephantine Island on a traditional felucca, catching the breeze as you glide across the water.

Aswan to Luxor
Travel toward Luxor with stops along the way. First, you'll stop at Kom Ombo to see the double temple dedicated to Sobek and Horus. Then continue to Edfu for the Temple of Horus, one of Egypt's well-preserved temples. Once you reach Luxor, visit the Luxor Temple in the evening light.

- Day 8
Valley of the Kings - Karnak
Start early in the Valley of the Kings, where you'll see the burial chambers of pharaohs with their hieroglyphs and colorful paintings still visible. Visit Queen Hatshepsut's mortuary temple and the Memnon Colossi. Later, walk through the Karnak temple complex, then stroll along the Corniche back in Luxor as the sun sets.

Luxor to Frankfurt
Head to Luxor Airport and fly back to Frankfurt, ending your time in Egypt. You'll have seen temples, monuments, and cities that span thousands of years of history.
