Our trip was fabulous. We were treated like royalty and I can not recommend Beyond the Nile more highly. We had a slight problem with the first hotel but it was quickly solved by our lead guide Aymann as soon as he was made aware. We had been vaccinated and felt completely safe. We ended up being the only 2 people even though we had planned for a small group trip. It ended up being a private tour with a very knowledgeable Egyptologist guide and private driver. The Egyptians were very happy to see us and very generous with the time and knowledge. The ship was lovely and the crew helpful and cheerful. Hassan was so enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge and gave us unusual experiences. We visited with a Nubian family in their home, swam in the Nile, rode a camel, learned how papyrus was made, saw alabaster being carved as well as seeing all the temple, tombs and monuments. Gabby was a wonderful guide who showed the unusual corners of Cairo. We had difficulty with the right paperwork the fly on to Greece and our Driver Moustafe spent 2 hours helping us work that out. Everyone was amazing! The trip was perfect and well worth every penny. Go to Egypt now before the crowds. It’s amazing!
