We were the only 2 on our tour so received individualised attention from our driver Amanya. He really took care of us and we learnt a lot from him. He was very personable and easy going It was a pleasure to spend the 3 days with him. Our gorilla experience was magical... it was a privilege to be in the presence of these animals. Our accommodation at Kuranji lodge was basic but comfortable with good food and friendly, accommodating staff. Thank you for a great experience.Show more
- Lora· March 9th, 2025Just wow! Pick up in Kigali with a 5 hour drive across border into Uganda. Border crossing took about 30 minutes of this due to x ray of bags and walking across border. Accommodations at the lodge were basic, but it was a community sponsored lodge, so we felt like we were helping the locals. Basic room with a bed, a bathroom, and a front porch. One outlet, one light in the bedroom, one in the bathroom and one on the from porch. WIFI available at the restaurant and reception, although we could get it in our room. The food was great at the restaurant. People very friendly and helpful. The gorilla trek was fantastic! Family of 13 gorillas appeared in front of us and spent an hour in our midst. Unbelievable experience! $800 of your trip goes to your entrance fee to the Brindi Park. Jackson was our guide and did a great job.Show more

The itinerary would look like this: Day 1: Pick up in Kigali, Genocide Museum visit, transfer to Bwindi National Park (5hrs drive), stay at Bwindi. Day 2: Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi National Park, stay at Bwindi Day 3: Golden monkey trekking at Bwindi National Park and drive to Lake Bunyonyi, stay at Lake Bunyonyi Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP via the Ishasha sector + do the Kazinga channel boat trip, stay at Queen Elizabeth NP Day 5: Kasenyi plains game drive at Queen Elizabeth NP and drive to Kibale National Park in the afternoon, stay at Kibale Day 6: Kibale chimpanzee trekking in the morning and drive to Kampala/Entebbe after the chimp trek (6hrs drive)
