You will feel safe in their hands as they employ the most competent drivers to get you safely from A to B and the best guides to manage your itinerary. We have just come back from a three-day tour in the White Desert and Baharia Oasis which was simply magical… Our guide Abdo excelled at his job: not only was he knowledgeable of the sites and very competent at addressing any unexpected issues that may rise up during the trip (such as obtaining medicines for our comfort etc), he was also an incredibly nice, warm and bright person. I really enjoyed our conversations about cultural, economical and social aspects of Modern Egypt and learnt so much about his fascinating country. His command of both English and French was excellent, so if you have the luck to have him on your next trip, you will not be disappointed ;) Finally, I would like to mention that the White Desert and Baharia Oasis Tour is an excellent example of sustainable tourism, since it is run in cooperation with the local Bedouin community and helps their sustenance: from local lodgings, local restaurants to desert driving, you will feel like your financial contribution is actually going a long way and being shared with the local community to benefit these warm and generous people of the desert. The driver / guide (also called Mahmoud) on the second day for Bahariya Oasis was good too. Though the tour of Bahariya was a bit underwhelming. After a lunch, we left for the Black desert, crystal mountain, and the white desert. We were in a 4 wheel drive vehicle and went further into the desert than most tours. Absolutely incredible!!!! Got back to our hotel at 9:30 pm., long day , but very much enjoyed the white desert! Although there was a schedule we were never felt rushed. His calm and friendly demeanour was infectious and he was able to adjust according to what we were interested in. Did I mention that he was an excellent cook? We had a beautiful fireside meal under the stars. All hotel transportation from Cairo was efficient and comfortable.
