  We had the most incredible trip to Egypt and would highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking about going. We would also happily recommend Sun Pyramid tours. We had inadvertently booked a far more restricted tour than intended, and didn't realise until it was in progress. Fortunately, Sun Pyramid tours were very flexible and responsive, enabling us to adjust as we went, and the resulting trip was a fantastic success. Highlights: 1. Cairo - the pyramids were incredible. We managed to go to Giza on day one and then Saqqara on our last day - both sites were amazing. We were accompanied by a wonderfully knowledgeable guide Mohammad who was also a highly skilled photographer. No joke, he took our best photos. We had our own private transport with a really friendly driver making getting around very easy. On Mohammad's recommendation we went to Abou Tarak for lunch which was an amazing koshary restaurant that felt like a true taste of Egypt. We stayed in the Kempinski hotel which was modern, clean and welcoming - the breakfast was particularly good. 2. Nile Cruise - our boat (The Acamar) was fabulous - the food was brilliant, the staff were all very friendly, helpful and took pride in their work - we felt extremely well looked after. Our cabin was homely and lucky enough to be on the top floor, from here the large windows gave a wonderful view of the scenery sliding by. We wished we could have cruised for longer it was so pleasant. The towel art was a lovely surprise each day. 3. Luxor-Aswan guide. The major reason our cruise was such a success was our guide Saadoonn. He was able to passionately bring to life all the sites and monuments in such a way that both ourselves and our 10 year old daughter were enthralled. A wonderful story teller, it made every site a real joy to visit. We just wished we had more time to cover more of Egypt with him! 4. Hot air balloon ride in Luxor. Ok it's hard work getting up at 4am, but the experience was definitely worth it! Our captain, Ali, was also quite a character making it all the more memorable. A few tips: 1. Bring lots of Egyptian pounds, and try and get small stuff for the tipping 2. On arrival at Cairo you, prior to immigration, you need to go to the bank to buy a visa (with USD) to take to passport control. Some tour guides are in this area, but not all, they aren't needed if you know what to do - we didn't! 3. Get an Egyptian SIM card - it required a minor detour and slight wait, but having connectivity was invaluable. 4. Camel ride at the pyramids was really good fun, maybe helped by it being relatively uncrowded. 5. The horse cart ride to Edfu is a bit depressing, though I'm not sure there is any other way to get to the temple.

  We've just finished our 7 day private tour across Egypt (Cairo, Luxor, Dendera, Aswan, Abu-Simbel). All organization, program, transfers, guides, security were provided by Sun Pyramids Tours. We only booked hotels and flights. Everything was at the highest level - guides were nice, transfers, meetings always punctual, lunches included in the tour program were fine. Management and firm representatives were very polite and always willing to help. I knew about Sun Pyramids Tours from friends of mine and will also recommend the Company to my friends for sure.
