- Yvanovna· November 24th, 2019My very first of hopefully multiple trips to Africa! G Adventures offered a variety of activities for us to parttake in. The tour leaders were gems! Chris Zulu and Chris Ncube are great men!, so was Tony! Just know that there is lots of camping and a few basic facilities that you may not be accustomed to. The nature, wildlife, landscape and history all make up for it!!! I was so emotional on the last day, as I got so attached to some of the travelers and the leaders, whom I appreciated getting to know. Thank you G Adventures for the best trip of my life! To make this tour better, 1) some of the safaris, game drives, or at least the river cruise should be included in the tour package. 2) The trip notes are not updated, as I was not often able to use the USD currency I brought, as they suggested. The countries mostly accept cards or the local currency. 3) Trip notes also suggest water cleaning pills, when they do have drinking water on the coach and at every stop.Show moreTrip date: August 2019

All camping equipment (with the exception of your sleeping bag and pillow) is supplied, including camp mattresses. We supply dome tents and assembly/disassembly takes only 5 minutes. They are good quality, durable, industry-standard 2-person safari canvas tents. Most adults will not be able to fully stand up inside the tents, though most travellers find these more than adequate, as they have a base area of approximately 4 square meters. You will be sharing a tent with another traveller of the same gender unless you pay the additional for the single supplement.

We do get asked this a lot and unfortunately, we have to be really strict about it. If we were more lenient on this, we would be false advertising and may lead to customer dissatisfaction or miss-selling of our product. It is not our intention to exclude people, it is simply that we have a specific product which targets that age group and traveller type. To align with our 18 to 30 something campaign, it is necessary to have an upper age limit with no exceptions to keep our promise to our customers. Please look at our Classic Tours or National Geographic Journey's which have no upper age limit.
