What people love about Iceland Tours in June
- 8 Day Around Iceland Summer Minibus Tour
The trip was excellent. Good weather, long day, well arranged itinerary, caring tour guide Mr Gillfy. In particular, I enjoyed the exclusive optional tour package that brought me new exciting experience everyday.
- 6 Day Around Iceland Summer Minibus Tour
Jonthor was a fantastic guide and driver. He planned full days full of interesting stops (hard not to in beautiful Iceland!). There were enough options in activities on offer and lunch/dinner plans to keep everyone satisfied and on budget. Highly recommended.
- Iceland Fire and Ice (Classic, Summer)
I had a really amazing time with my group in Iceland! I had a lot of worries prior to the trip because it was my first time out of North America, on my first solo trip, and I don't drink so I thought nobody was going to talk to me. It was quite the contrary, there will always be people who will talk to you & want to be around you. I found a great group of friends, we went on so many great adventures, learned a lot about Iceland, ate SUCH GOOD FOOD, and saw the best sights. Demi was a stellar trip manager, she made me feel so comfortable, she knows her stuff, and she made me laugh so many times during the trip. I'm so glad I went on this trip, and if you're on the fence, I'd say book it now, you won't regret it!
What our customers ask about Iceland Tours in June 2026
What are the key highlights to visit in Iceland during June?
The endless daylight of June in Iceland opens up extensive opportunities to explore the country's natural wonders. The Golden Circle route leads to the thundering Gullfoss waterfall and active Geysir hot springs. Along the South Coast black sand stretches across Reynisfjara beach while glacier walks on Sólheimajökull offer close encounters with ancient ice. Travelers can spot puffins at Borgarfjörður Eystri and stay at well-located hotels like Fosshotel Nupar or Hotel Höfn. The midnight sun means extra time to discover Þingvellir National Park and watch icebergs drift in Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon.
Where are the best spots for puffin watching in Iceland during June?
Borgarfjörður Eystri hosts one of Iceland's largest puffin colonies during the June peak season. The Fosshotel Eastfjords provides a convenient base for puffin viewing excursions. Additional colonies nest at Reynisfjara's black sand beach and in the Dyrhólaey cliffs from June to August. A TourRadar traveler noted "seeing thousands of puffins in their natural habitat at Borgarfjörður Eystri was absolutely magical especially with the endless June daylight."
What weather can I expect in Iceland during June?
June temperatures typically range from 8-14°C (46-57°F). The Midnight Sun brings 20-22 hours of daylight creating ideal conditions for outdoor activities at spots like Thingvellir National Park and along the South Coast.
