  1. Day 1

    Reykjavik

    You'll touch down in Reykjavik and get settled into your hostel. Once you've dropped your bags, take some time wandering through the city on your own, checking out the colorful buildings and quirky character of the place. Later in the evening, meet up with the group for a welcome dinner that kicks things off.

  2. Day 2

    Reykjavik to Midgard

    After breakfast, head out to Midgard Base Camp following the Golden Circle route. You'll stop at Thingvellir National Park first, then swing by Efstidalur farm for a farm-to-table presentation featuring local food. From there, check out the geothermal fields around Strokkur Geysir and see Gullfoss Falls. Grab lunch and then visit a local geothermal greenhouse. Back at your accommodation, relax in the rooftop sauna and hot tub to wrap up the day.

    Midgard to Kirkjubaejarklaustur

    After breakfast, drive across Iceland's south shore with two major waterfall stops in mind, Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. You'll pass by Myrdalsjökull Glacier before reaching Reynisfjara Beach, where you can walk along the black sands and see the distinctive rock formations. By evening, you'll arrive at your accommodation.

    After breakfast, head into Vatnajökull National Park to see Svinafellsjökull glacier outlet and check out Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon with its floating icebergs. Walk along Diamond Beach where icebergs wash ashore. If you're interested, there's an optional glacier hike in the afternoon before you head to Vik.
