- DFDoreen· September 30th, 2024Guides were excellent. 8 day tour should have remained with one guide/group. Was not expecting a split tour. Check in was confusing as not advised properly of guide/bus that we were travelling with. Travelled with other couple and both were told different guide names of which were both wrong.Show moreHighland Experience Tours commented on this reviewHi Doreen, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We will be sure to pass on your comments to our transport team who take all feedback on board as they look to next years schedule. We are sorry for any miscommunication at check in, our check... - TPTimothy· September 22nd, 2024Paul and Cameron were fabulous providing a safe drive and a history lesson on the highlands. It is not an easy job driving on the one lane roads. The inns along the way were very good with adequate services. We had a full itinerary each day and the value for money was great. Even though two entitled Americans tried to ruin the second half of the trip, it didn’t affect the outcome. I highly recommend Highland Experience for anyone that wants to visit Scotland.Show moreHighland Experience Tours commented on this reviewHi Timothy, Thank you so much for your kind 5* review! I'm so glad to hear that Paul and Cameron provided a fabulous tour experience despite the challenges. It's great that you enjoyed the safe driving, history lessons, and the inns along the way.... - Catherine· July 9th, 2024I loved this tour! The drivers were great, the new vans with individual charging stations were wonderful, and the itineraries for each of my tours were perfect. I loved that everything was taken care of including accommodations, ferry tickets, etc. The B&Bs were excellent, as well. The one part of the tour that I did not appreciate was being placed at the Crown in Stornaway. My noise right outside my window from Rascals nightclub went on until past 2:00 am with yelling, cursing, and people revving the engines of their cars, etc. In addition, being up past 2:00 am meant that I was awake to hear the rats? scurrying within the walls.Show moreHighland Experience Tours commented on this reviewHi Catherine, Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a review. We are so pleased that you enjoyed the tour, driver and the new buses. We are sorry that you didn't enjoy your time at The Crown in Stornoway. The hotel team have assured us... You were also unhappy with the luggage requirements for this tour. Regards, SarahTrip date: August 2023
- DWDeanna· September 24th, 2022Not sure why but we ended up on a bigger coach as part of a 5 day tour before joining a small group and coach for the Outer Hebrides.Show moreHighland Experience Tours commented on this reviewThe tour is made up of two tours as our driver-guides can't work for 8 days straight. I do hope you enjoyed getting insight and experience from two different driver-guides and enjoyed the tour :) Kind regards, Highland ExperienceTrip date: September 2022

- TETammy· October 18th, 2019Good trip, recommend for solo travelers if looking to cover a lot of Scotland. Only 1 major issue - Unpleasant accommodations on isle of Skye. Company seems to be aware of rude hostess and continues to book people there.Show moreTrip date: September 2019

Asked on January 9th, 2025What type of vehicle is used for this trip? Does it have lots of leg room for taller individuals and is it spacious for plus size passengers? Does the tour have a lot of walking?
- Highland Experience ToursOperator•Written January 2025
Our tours are run on modern, luxury vehicles with a wide range of seating capacities, which will transport you in comfort and safety. They feature air conditioning, panoramic windows and reclining seats. They're the best way to experience Scotland! Our vehicles range from 7 to 35 seats. Please note that the number of passengers and vehicle size on your tour is dependent upon demand and availability. The amount of walking will be completely up to you. It will vary depending on each activity per day, however our tours are designed for everyone with a range of capabilities.

Asked on January 5th, 2025Its not clear if the tour is fully guided or if you are dropped off at different places and explore on your own. Also, how much walking is involved.
- Highland Experience ToursOperator•Written January 2025
This tour will be fully guided, with your driver/guide providing you with full commentary as you are driving and further information at each stop. You will also be given the opportunity to explore around the locations we visit. We make a number of different stops including longer stops where you will be able to explore at your own leisure as well as shorter photo stops. There is a moderate amount of walking involved in this tour; please be aware that whilst most areas are predominantly flat land, some historical sites may have uneven flooring or stairs. We aim to accommodate passengers of all mobility types and you are welcome to go as far as you are comfortable with, at your own pace when off the bus.

Asked on November 26th, 2024Was curious about this tour and if any adjustments could be made, like adding on a day or stop to St. Andrews specifically. And if private tours would be available for this for a small group and how the price would change. Also, possibly leaving from Glasgow instead?
- Highland Experience ToursOperator•Written November 2024
We can definitely do a Private version of our Hebrides, Skye & the Far West tour - and yes, we can make adjustments or add days if you'd like to add any specific places to the itinerary. I will note that doing this itinerary on a Private Basis, we have to add a day (likely in Inverness) for a driver's rest day as they are legally required to have one after 6 days. Would you have 9 days? Or potentially more if you'd like to add St. Andrews?

- Highland Experience ToursOperator•Written November 2024

Asked on June 6th, 2024I am the father of 3 children aged 17 to 24, and I would like to explore Scotland with them. So, there are 4 of us. The trip would be for a maximum of 10/11 days, between July 20th and August 2nd. We would prefer to be autonomous during the day, using trains or a rental car, with the nights booked in advance. We are not particular about accommodations. We are looking for adventure, a variety of experiences/meetings/activities, rather than the comfort of the rooms.
- Highland Experience ToursOperator•Written June 2024
I am afraid self drive tours is not something that we currently offer. I hope you find someone to assist with this, and have a great time exploring Scotland.
