- SMStewart· May 20th, 2024Our Ultimate Skye Experience was fantastic. Our driver/guide, Neal, was outstanding at both jobs. We loved his passion for his home country and his eagerness to share his wealth of knowledge about the history of Scotland. Though we were on a schedule; we were often allowed input on where we would enjoy spending more or less of our time. He had great recommendations on local restaurants and nightlife. Our accommodations in Inverness, The Gluenuig House, were wonderful. Roz was a delightful hostess, and her home was beautifully furnished and spotless. The morning breakfasts provided plenty of satisfying options for everyone. We would highly recommend this tour.Show moreHighland Experience Tours commented on this reviewHi Stewart, Thank you so much for your very kind 5* review. Asked on April 9th, 2025I have a mother and son planning travel to London and Scotland in June, July, or August of this year. They would like to try to experience a football match in London, the Highland games (if possible) and the quintessential Scotland places to visit, and golf at St. Andrews. They would like to keep the entire trip around 7-8 days. I was thinking I might be able to book a couple of your itineraries back to back, can you help me put this together? They would like separate rooms and are open to apart-hotel/private home stays as well. They are working on a budget, above hostel but not luxury.
- Highland Experience ToursOperator•Written April 2025
If your clients are looking to travel on a budget, a private tour might not be the best fit, as those tend to be a bit more premium in price. However, we do have a range of scheduled multi-day and 1-day tours that could work really well for them, offering great value while still covering many of Scotland's must-see locations. While our scheduled tours don't include visits to the Highland Games, there are plenty of events taking place throughout the summer within easy reach of Edinburgh—Pitlochry and Stirling are two great options to look into, depending on their dates. I'd be happy to suggest some tour combinations that could work for a 7–8 day itinerary. Let me know if they have any confirmed travel dates yet, and I can tailor the suggestions a bit more specifically.

Asked on January 6th, 2025Would like to know if the bus has a bathroom. If not, how often are rest stops made? Additionally, inquired about the cost for the Loch Ness Boat Cruise and Urquhart Castle.
- Highland Experience ToursOperator•Written January 2025
Bus does not have toilets on board, makes regular comfort stops approximately every 1 to 2 hours. On day 3 of the tour, option to take Loch Ness cruise and visit Urquhart Castle. Combined ticket costs £28 (subject to change), payable in cash only to driver on tour day.

Asked on September 28th, 2024If the bus for the tour isn't full, will the trip be cancelled?
- Highland Experience ToursOperator•Written September 2024
Our tours are almost always guaranteed to run, and cancellation due to not reaching full capacity is exceptionally rare.

Asked on September 19th, 2024I'm quite flexible to start sometime from Oct. 13 - Oct. 17 and would like to know whether the departure of the tour is guaranteed? And if not, what days are usually always taking part?
- Highland Experience ToursOperator•Written September 2024
These tours do usually depart, however, we do reserve the right to cancel the tour in the case of low passenger numbers or events outside our control such as adverse weather. It is most likely that our 3-day Ultimate Skye Experience will be going ahead on the dates from Oct 13-17. I would recommend booking for October 14 as we have already met the minimum passenger number for this tour, and therefore it will almost certainly be going ahead.

Asked on August 7th, 2024Do kids travel free? If not, is there a separate rate per person for the kids?
- Highland Experience ToursOperator•Written August 2024
Kid's don't travel free for this tour, however, they do travel at a reduced rate. On tour radar it is £429 per adult based on a twin or double room, and £415 for a child based on a twin or double room.

Ahmed
Traveler•Written August 2024If she books for either August 18th or 19th, will she have instant booking confirmation?
- Highland Experience ToursOperator•Written August 2024
On our multi-day tours, we guarantee to carry one piece of luggage per passenger of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm, with a maximum of 15 kg. Due to the limited space available on our mini coaches, we are unable to guarantee that we would be able to carry larger suitcases than this. In addition to this one piece of stored luggage, you can each bring one piece of carry-on luggage with you, this would usually be a small backpack to carry your essentials for the day.
- Highland Experience ToursOperator•Written August 2024
Once we have confirmed the booking on our system, the passenger will receive a notification of this through Tour Radar.

Asked on July 9th, 2024Would this trip be suitable for a baby that age? How much walking will there be during the trip? Could you provide approximate distances? Can the travelers take a stroller with them? Is it possible to walk around in the area with the stroller? Would it be possible to arrange a family room for them? Either with 2 double beds or 1 double bed or 1 single bed. Also, would there be a small kitchen in the room, so that the travelers can prepare the food for the baby?
- Highland Experience ToursOperator•Written July 2024
Unfortunately, before we can continue, I must note we can note take children under 3 years on our scheduled tours. However we do have a private tours department, where they will create bespoke trips on your clients behalf.
