Overall the trip was very good, our river boat (Royal Ruby 2) was quite nice and the staff were also super friendly. Our guide for the tours (Adele) was extremely knowledgeable although a bit difficult to understand at times. Didn't like that were brought to a number of markets (papyrus, essential oils etc.) as part of the tour and subjected to pressure sales. I don't remember seeing that as part of the original itinerary.

We had booked a 4-day Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan with 3 nights. About 2 months after booking, the travel agency (Egyptology Travel) increased the price already paid by 17.5 percent. The Nile cruise was well organized, the guide very educated. What was annoying was the constant excessive expectation of tips. Of the 3 nights, we spent two in Luxor. The huge number of ships parked so close together that you can't see out the window and there is a tremendous amount of noise from the neighboring ship. Who expects a romantic boat trip, is here out of place. The program was very good and structured, even if the entrance fees for the temples and tombs are excessive.

- For any tour departing before July 1st, 2025 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after July 1st, 2025, a minimum payment of 10% is required to confirm your booking with Egyptology Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
