Luxor
Your guide picks you up at 8:10 AM in Luxor and heads to the west bank to see the Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut Temple. After that, you'll transfer to your Nile cruise, check into your cabin, and grab lunch before the ship starts sailing from Luxor. Spend your afternoon on the sun deck as you watch islands and villages go by while cruising through the Esna Lock toward Edfu. It's a relaxing way to settle in and get your first real sense of the Nile.

Overall the trip was very good, our river boat (Royal Ruby 2) was quite nice and the staff were also super friendly. Our guide for the tours (Adele) was extremely knowledgeable although a bit difficult to understand at times. Didn't like that were brought to a number of markets (papyrus, essential oils etc.) as part of the tour and subjected to pressure sales. I don't remember seeing that as part of the original itinerary.

This is a MUST if you are travelling in Egypt. Excellent Service, food and value. Really considerate tour guides, very professional and the trip was superb.Wonderful views really well orchestrated tours. We had a wonderful time and our tour guide Mohammed was a really warm friendly people person and made every effort and attention to detail throughout the trip.

We had booked a 4-day Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan with 3 nights. About 2 months after booking, the travel agency (Egyptology Travel) increased the price already paid by 17.5 percent. The Nile cruise was well organized, the guide very educated. What was annoying was the constant excessive expectation of tips. Of the 3 nights, we spent two in Luxor. The huge number of ships parked so close together that you can't see out the window and there is a tremendous amount of noise from the neighboring ship. Who expects a romantic boat trip, is here out of place. The program was very good and structured, even if the entrance fees for the temples and tombs are excessive.

A spectacular experience in the Nile, the longest river in the world, on it's banks we enjoyed wonderful stops and tours, with a wonderful nile cruise 5 stars Opera and a guide to remember for life MR/ Ahmed, so knowledgeable so talented so polite, Alife time nile cruise but we just did 3 nights we hope next time to have 4 or 7 nights.

The cruise was nice. The ship accommodations were good, however a lot of times the hallway to the rooms would often smell like cigarette smoke. Our room had an issue with the AC not cooling and we had to switch rooms. Also, the bathroom in both rooms had a leak from the toilet and our floor was always wet. The food was a bit repetitive and wasn’t always appealing, and you are charged for any drinks including water. However, the staff were all incredibly nice and helpful, and the laundry service was fantastic. Our guide for the cruise was awesome, he was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Overall it was a good trip down the Nile but the ship needs some updating.
