Itinerary
- Day 1
Vientiane
You'll arrive in Vientiane and connect with your staff who'll handle your transfer to the hotel. After settling in, the day opens up to explore some of the city's key temples and monuments. Wat Sisaket holds thousands of miniature Buddha statues throughout its courtyards, while Wat Prakeo served as the former royal temple and shows different architectural styles. That Luang Stupa stands as an important religious site you'll want to see. The Patuxay Monument makes for good photos, and the day wraps up with a welcome dinner at a nice restaurant where you can try local dishes.

- Day 2
Vientiane to Vang Vieng
After breakfast, you'll board an express train heading to Vang Vieng, a quieter town that sits along the Nam Song River. Once you check into your hotel, there's time to walk through Tham Jang caves, which villagers once used as shelter from Chinese invaders. Later you'll drive through paddy fields to reach Tham Phoukham caves, where limestone formations rise through forested areas. You can meet some of the local people and learn how they go about their daily routines. There's also a natural pool near the caves where you can cool off and swim if you'd like.

Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang
After breakfast, you'll take the express train to Luang Prabang, a UNESCO-protected city that's remained well-preserved compared to other Southeast Asian towns. You'll check in at your hotel and then head to the National Museum, which occupies the former Royal Palace and displays objects that reflect Lao culture and history. Mount Phousi is worth climbing to see the sacred gilded stupa and catch the sunset views across the city. Later in the evening, the Night Market comes alive with stalls selling handmade textiles created by local artisans and hill tribe communities.

- Day 4
Luang Prabang
The day centers around an upstream cruise along the Mekong River where you'll take in views of the rural landscape. Pak Ou Caves, two large caverns, hold thousands of Buddha images inside them and draw visitors for their spiritual significance. You'll visit a few villages including Ban Muangkeo, where locals produce rice wine using traditional methods, and Ban Xiengmene. Climbing up to Wat Chomphet provides views back across the river toward Luang Prabang from the opposite bank. Once back in the city, you can check out Ban Xang Khong and Ban Xieng Lek, two villages known for their silk weavings and handmade Saa paper production.

Luang Prabang
After breakfast, if there's enough time, the Phosi Market in the morning gives you a chance to see local produce, textiles from hill tribes, and various handicrafts (dried buffalo skin counts as a popular Lao snack there). Following the market, you'll head to the airport for your departure flight home.
