- ACAmanda· September 19th, 2022The hike, Aaron- our guide and the people met along the way were everything I’d hoped for. It was wonderful. The food was unexpectedly great and I had paid extra for dietary restrictions that were adequately cared for. I came to Iceland specifically for this hike and I was not disappointed. I paid extra money to rent a rain jacket and pants from the company. What I got was a non waterproof rain jacket with a hood that didn’t have a tie. It was useless. The pants were ripped. I had no alternative as I rented them because I thought that the company would provide what I needed for the hike I signed up for. After the first day I was soaked through. That coat did not dry for the entirety of the time I had it. Another hiker was kind enough to give me his extra coat which literally saved me. Had it not been for his kindness, your company providing inadequate gear I paid extra for would have put me in danger. A non waterproof coat that was also broken and of terrible quality could have quickly put me in a very bad situation. It severely dampened (literally) and otherwise fantastic experience.Show more

When the weather wasn’t in our favour always had a plan B. Cosy neat accomodation. Lots and lots of delicious food. Definitely won’t go hungry! Asked on August 17th, 2025On my Tourradar page the tour information and accommodation clearly indicate Huts for our accommodation. Suddenly the email received today from Arctic Adventures indicates Huts OR camping in tent. For a close to $3000 cost for 3 nights & 4 days of hiking and meals, sleeping in a tent is completely unacceptable and not possible for me given my back issues. Kindly confirm that I will be provided with Hut accommodation as per my tour details commensurate with the price.

This tour does not have any upper-age limitation and you can join the activity as long as you are sure that the moderate difficulty works for your fitness. This adventure is suitable for those in good condition who can walk for about 4 hours at a low or moderate pace. Trails are generally of good quality and glacier travel at a relatively low angle.
