- Day 1
Arrival
You'll arrive whenever works for your schedule, so there's nothing organized until evening. That's when you'll meet up with your CEO and the rest of the travel group at a welcome meeting to get introduced to everyone and go over what's coming up.

Colombo to Kandy
Head out on a drive to Kandy with a stop at a spice plantation where you can walk around and see how spices grow. Grab lunch at the Sthree Craft Shop and Café, which G Adventures supports locally. Later that evening, you'll check out the Temple of the Tooth, one of the most important religious sites in the area.

Kandy
This day is yours to spend however you like. Wander around Kandy at your own pace, whether that means visiting markets, checking out local shops, or just getting a feel for the city on your own terms.

Kandy to Ella
Travel by private vehicle to Nuwara Eliya, a historic town where you'll have some time to look around. From there, continue on to Ella, heading into the rolling green valleys. You'll spend the next two nights at AMBA Estate, a G Adventures-supported organic farm and guest house that works with fair trade practices and community cooperatives.

Landmarks/POIs Nuwara Eliya - Day 5
Ella
Start your morning with a tour of the tea plantation right at AMBA Estate and learn how Sri Lankan tea gets exported and processed. After that, you'll do a tea tasting to get a feel for different varieties. Spend your afternoon however you want, with options to hike up to Ella Rock or catch a tuk tuk into Ella town. In the evening, watch a cooking demonstration where they'll prepare traditional homestyle Sri Lankan dishes.

Ella to Udawalawe
After breakfast, leave AMBA Estate and head to Udawalawe National Park for an afternoon safari by vehicle. You might spot elephants, leopards, sambar deer, or various bird species depending on the day and season (temperatures around 77°F/25°C in the afternoon).

Udawalawe to Unawatuna
Following breakfast, you'll transfer from Udawalawe to Galle where a tour of the historic fort and city is on the agenda. The fort has been around since the 1600s and offers great views from the walls. After exploring, head to Unawatuna on the south coast where you'll settle in for the rest of the day.

Departure
Leave whenever suits you. Getting to Colombo airport from Galle is pretty straightforward through taxi, train, or bus. Your CEO can help coordinate a transfer if you need one, so reach out about timing before you head out.
