- Day 1
Ho Chi Minh City
You'll land at Ho Chi Minh City airport and a driver from Legend Travel Group will be there to meet you. After getting to your hotel and checking in, the day is open for you to settle in and explore the city however you'd like. This gives you time to adjust and get your bearings on your own schedule.

Ho Chi Minh City
Starting with breakfast at the hotel, you'll head out to see Ho Chi Minh City's key historical sites like Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office designed by Gustave Eiffel, and the Reunification Palace. After lunch, it's about a 1.5-hour drive to the Cu Chi Tunnels (75 km away). There you'll walk through the extensive underground tunnel network from the Vietnam War, learn how people lived down there, and try some traditional fighter food. You'll get back to Ho Chi Minh City for the evening.

Ho Chi Minh City to Hoi An
Your guide picks you up at 8:00 am after breakfast for the trip to My Tho on the Mekong River, about 75 km away. You'll visit islands with traditional handicraft makers including coconut candy producers and bee farms. Next comes Vinh Trang Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in the Mekong Delta, which you reach by boat along the scenic river. Later you'll head back to Ho Chi Minh City, transfer to the airport, and fly to Hoi An via Da Nang. From there, it's a transfer to your Hoi An hotel for check-in and the night.

Hoi An
A full day in Hoi An exploring this historic trading port. You'll start at a central temple with gilded statues showing Chinese and Japanese influences, then move to a pagoda from the 1700s dedicated to sailors and fishermen. The Sa Huynh Museum near the Japanese Covered Bridge fills in Hoi An's earliest history. Later, you'll take a boat trip on the Thu Bon River to Kim Bong Village on Cam Kim Island to see traditional woodworkers and shipbuilders. After that, free time to walk around Hoi An Ancient Town on your own. You'll stay in Hoi An for the night.

Hoi An
After breakfast, you'll leave at 8:00 am to visit My Son, a UNESCO World Heritage site 50 km southwest of Hoi An. This ancient Cham capital and religious center has red brick towers and sanctuaries built between the 7th and 13th centuries. You'll learn about the Cham civilization and see intricate carvings and sculptures. The drive back to Hoi An takes until around 1:00 pm, so you'll grab lunch on your own. The afternoon is free for shopping or exploring town at your pace, checking out the lanterns, tailored clothing, and handcrafted items. You'll stay in Hoi An again.

Hoi An to Hue
After breakfast at 9:00 am, a driver picks you up for the drive to Hue City. Along the way, you'll stop at the Cham Museum and Ngu Hanh Son Mountain in Da Nang (you'll buy tickets separately). Then comes Hai Van Pass with views of Son Tra Peninsula, a brief stop at Lang Co Beach, and you'll arrive in Hue in the afternoon. After checking into your hotel, the evening is free to explore the imperial city at your own pace. You'll stay in Hue for the night.

Hue to Hanoi
Following breakfast, you'll take a boat trip on the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda, the oldest and most important site in Hue with nice river views. Next you'll see the mausoleums of Emperor Khai Dinh and Tu Duc. After lunch at a local restaurant serving traditional Vietnamese food, you'll continue to the Imperial Citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site from the Nguyen Dynasty. You'll see the Purple Forbidden City, then head to Thuy Xuan village to watch traditional incense being made. Before heading to the airport, you'll check out Dong Ba market, the largest market in Hue. From there it's your flight to Hanoi, airport pickup, and transfer to your hotel. You'll stay in Hanoi for the night.

Hanoi
After breakfast, your guide picks you up to tour Hanoi City. You'll start at Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in Hanoi built in the 6th century on Golden Fish Island in West Lake. The Ho Chi Minh complex comes next, where you can see his embalmed body and walk through the garden with his two residences from 1954-1969. Then you'll see the One Pillar Pagoda, known for worshipping the Goddess of Mercy. The Vietnam Ethnology Museum teaches about Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups. After lunch with Vietnamese cuisine, you'll visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university from the 11th century. You'll finish at Hoa Lo Prison, the site known as the 'Hanoi Hilton' where U.S. POWs were held during the war. Back at the hotel, the rest of your evening is free. You'll stay in Hanoi.

Hanoi to Halong Bay
A mini-van picks you up between 8:30-9:00 am after breakfast for the 3.5-hour drive to Halong City. You'll see countryside and rice paddies along the way. At the port, you'll board an authentic Chinese Junk and cruise through Halong Bay, a World Heritage Site. Fresh seafood lunch happens on board. You'll visit a cave and swim in the clear emerald water. Later, the boat anchors in a quiet area for the night. Dinner and sunset views over the bay are included, and you can swim in phosphorescent water, relax in your cabin, or sleep under the stars on the top deck. You're staying on the boat overnight.

Halong Bay to Hanoi
Wake up early to catch the sunrise and feel the fresh ocean air. Breakfast happens on board as you cruise past thousands of islands. You'll stop at a floating fishing village to hear stories about the fishermen's daily life. Lunch gets served on board during the cruise back to Halong City pier. You'll arrive back in Hanoi around 3:30-4:00 pm, check into your hotel, and have free time to explore the Old Quarter on your own. There's time to shop for souvenirs or try local street food. You'll spend the night in Hanoi.
