- KKatharima· July 10th, 2019When we booked our tour it stated on the website that there would be a maximum of 16 people joining the trip, so we were surprised to find ourselves in a group of 28 people (and obviously we weren't the only ones in the group thinking it would be a smaller group). Also that it was a hop on tour was not clearly visible for us and those starting the tour with us in Entebbe. The camping was very nice with good tents but the accommodation in the hostels was horrible. At one point there were only 2 toilets and 2 showers for 28 people and the bunkbeads were not save. The mosquito nets didn't cover the bed and as there were holes in them. Even if it's clear the standard is not the same as in Europe there should be at least enough sanitary rooms and save beds. The food was mostly English breakfast and the vegetarian food was always mixed with some kind of vegetarian meat which for us was not needed. A bit more diversity would have been good. The gorilla tracking was extremely exhausting and obviously not for beginners! But to see the gorillas was worth the effort!Show more

Absolute AfricaOperator•Written October 2023The tradition with overlanding is that prices are based on sharing a tent with another same sex traveller. You can though request a tent to yourself and we are usually always able to accommodate this if we know in advance without extra payment, so please note this when booking if it is important.
