I've booked many trips through you guys and this was the first trip where I didn't have a single contact person for my trip. It led to a lot of confusion and mistakes in the front office on your side. They had dates and places wrong which wasn't noticed till I brought tit up. They also tried to keep the money we pre paid for an optional activity instead of paying the company. Please contact me if you want to know more about that. I was so fixated on that portion of the trip that I didn't look too closely at the other days. I was so surprised though - every day had an incredible experience, from learning about local communities, taking safari drives, rafting on the Nile (this was an amazing add on) and chimp trekking. The local rangers we used were really knowledgable and I felt I came back with a much better understanding of the destinations. This tour has a physical rating of 4 which is considered demanding. This is due to the high altitude and strenuous hikes involved when gorilla trekking. This tour can be difficult and travellers may be hiking for hours through the jungle. Travellers should be in excellent physical condition, without any heart problems and prepared to spend strenuous days in humid rain forests, steep terrain and high altitude trekking for chimpanzee and gorillas, as well as other primates. Please ensure you meet the requirements as described under "physical rating". Yes we have deemed this region and this tour as safe. Yes, September is a great time to visit. All of our departures are guaranteed. We have departures available in September. ACCOMMODATION Much of the accommodation on this tour is in simple furnished tents with shared bathroom facilities. Please remember that this is a developing area and as such, accommodations/service may not be of similar standard to which you are used to in your home country. As well, interruptions in electricity and water can be common. We appreciate your patience and understanding, as well as your sense of adventure. Please let us know the currency you will be booking in and we will quote pre and post hotel nights. The group can expect to get quite close, this is dependent on where the gorillas are.
