Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Negombo
Your chauffeur guide meets you at Bandaranaike International Airport in the arrivals hall and drives you to Negombo for hotel check-in. The drive takes a couple of hours depending on traffic, so you'll have time to settle in and rest after your flight.
- Day 2
Negombo to Kandy
Start the morning with a boat ride on the Dutch Canal where you'll see local fishermen at work, kids swimming, and women washing clothes along the riverbanks. After lunch, you'll head inland from Negombo toward Kandy, which takes about three to four hours by car through the central highlands.

Kandy
Begin at the National Museum of Kandy, housed in a former royal residence that shows British colonial artifacts and ancient Kandyan Kingdom architecture. From there, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, a massive complex built around Lord Buddha's tooth. Later you'll walk around Kandy Lake and check out the Royal Palace of Kandy before heading back to your hotel.

Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
Spend the morning in the Royal Botanical Gardens, which date back to 1371 when King Vickramabahu III took the throne. You can walk through different sections like the Orchid House, Palm Avenue, and Spice Garden at your own pace. By afternoon, you'll drive from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya, climbing higher into the central highlands.

Tea Plantation - Ella - Udawalawe
Visit a tea plantation in the morning where guides walk you through plucking leaves, processing, and packaging. You'll get to taste fresh tea while looking out over the hillsides. Later, take the toy train from Nuwara Eliya to Ella, watching the landscape shift from plains to mountains with tea fields, forests, and waterfalls along the way. After arriving in Ella, continue driving to Udawalawe National Park.

Udawalawe National Park
An early morning jeep safari takes you through Udawalawe National Park where you might spot Asian elephants, peacocks, crocodiles, buffalos, and various bird species. Later, visit the Elephant Transit Home during feeding times to watch young elephants and learn about conservation efforts. You'll do another jeep safari in the late afternoon when wildlife is active again.

You'll walk through Galle Dutch Fort, the Dutch Reformed Church, Martin Wickramasinghe Folk Art Museum, and the Community Tsunami Museum. After finishing the tour, continue south to Bentota for the evening.

Departure
