Tim· May 30th, 2025Schultz Portugal did an excellent job with this tour. They committed to conduct the tour with a minimum of 2 people which is what we had. That made it basically a private tour. Our drive/guide Carlos was the fantastic. He was amazing driving all the narrow streets. We have been on several small tour and Carlos was the best we have had. He was knowledgeable and passionate about his country and it's history. He explained all the towns and regions we visited. We got a very good feel for the country and its different regions. I highly recommend Schultz Portugal if you are visiting this wonderful country.Show more

Schultz Portugal commented on this reviewHi Alan Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We appreciate your feedback and are delighted to know you enjoyed our Tour!Trip date: October 2024 - RCRichard· October 16th, 2024I can recommend this tour without reservation. Finding your way alone through fifteen or more sites in ten cities is daunting to say the least. This Schulz Tour hit the good spots and avoided the worst spots. Accommodations were first rate and the winery tours and typical Alentejo lunch were langiappe. Highly recommended.Show more

Asked on October 27th, 2025I wish to join this group tour. I am able to fly from Verona Italy to Lisbon on 16 May 2026 arriving 4.30pm. Are u operating this tour on or after this date. I am a mature Australian traveller hoping u will be able to offer me an in-depth tour of Portugal ideally I would like to spend 11/15 days, also interested in visiting the island of Madeira.
Schultz PortugalOperator•Written October 2025Our regular tour 'Unmissable Portugal – Colours and Flavours of Alentejo' (13 days) is an excellent option to discover the best of mainland Portugal. However, we do not yet have the minimum number of participants for the 6 February 2026 departure, nor for the three regular departures in May (1, 15, and 29 May 2026). We could check the price for one person (single occupancy) on a private tour. We do not currently operate regular tours to Madeira Island.

Traveler•Written October 2025I will arrive in Portugal on 16 May 26. The tour finished in Verona on that day. I can fly into Lisbon on Ryan Air arriving at 4.30pm. I wish to join the tour on that day - due to my late arrival, I would like to propose I remain in Lisbon at the end of the tour, at which time I could see any of the areas I missed by being late if this is acceptable to the tour operator.
Schultz PortugalOperator•Written October 2025Since you will only arrive in Portugal on May 16, you would miss the night of May 15 and the full-day tour Lisbon – Sintra – Cabo da Roca – Cascais – Estoril scheduled for May 16. We can add an extra night at the end of the tour at no additional cost. The tour would end on May 28 instead of May 27. The Lisbon – Sintra – Cabo da Roca – Cascais – Estoril day can be replaced by a regular coach tour to Sintra and Cascais, including ticket to one of the palaces in Sintra, also at no additional cost. However, since we do not yet have the minimum number of participants, we would need to apply a supplement of €1,300 to confirm the booking in a single room.

Asked on October 15th, 2025Can you accept a solo traveler?
Schultz PortugalOperator•Written October 2025We can accept a solo traveler for the December 12 departure, but we will have to apply a supplement of €1,300 (whether in the bronze or silver category) because we do not have any other passengers on that regular departure date.

Asked on April 25th, 2025What are the optional tours for Day 3? It does not look like we will have enough time in Sintra on Day 2 and we are thinking about going back there on Day 3. Will there be a longer tour of Sintra available or should we just plan to take the train?
Schultz PortugalOperator•Written April 2025For the 3rd day of your tour, we have the option of doing a private or regular tour of Sintra: • 225€ per person - Private Full Day to Sintra (duration 8h): includes transportation in a private car, visit to the Pena Palace and another monument of your choice, between Quinta da Regaleira or Monserrate Palace, and pickup and drop-off at the hotel. • 140€ per person - Full Day to Sintra, Cabo da Roca and Cascais on a regular basis (8 hours): includes shared transportation by bus and a visit to the Pena Palace. Does not include hotel pick-up or drop-off, so you will have to travel by your own to the meeting point.

Asked on April 17th, 2025How much would it cost to add one night at the LIS hotel before the tour begins? The would be the night of Mar 5 with early check in, with airport transfer. We would like access to the room upon arrival.

Traveler•Written April 2025Are there optional tours that could be added and if so, what would be the cost? For example visiting a cheese farm or a cooking class? We and another couple are interested in making this a very food centric tour.
Schultz PortugalOperator•Written April 2025The price of an extra night sharing a Double Room for this tour is 90€ per person (bronze category) and 110€ per person (silver category). Yes, booking this extra night guarantees early check-in as your flight arrives at 9am. The arrival time will always depend on the flight's disembarkation formalities.

Traveler•Written April 2025Will you add your dates for April and May 2026 soon? Our friends may need to wait until then.

Asked on January 25th, 2025Are two single beds available?
Schultz PortugalOperator•Written January 2025On our regular departures, the type of bed (double or twin beds) is always subject to availability at the time of check-in. However, we can usually request tour hotels to allocate 2 separate beds. Customers will only have to confirm upon arrival at the hotel if the specific type of room has indeed been allocated. Hotel rooms are usually available from 3 p.m onwards. If the client wishes to guarantee the room before this time, we recommend purchasing an extra night when making the reservation.

Regarding the luggage, each passenger is entitled to carry one medium-sized piece of luggage weighing a maximum of 23 kg. Extra luggage is subject to the space available in the vehicle. Asked on June 28th, 2024Is it possible to fly from Porto to Lisbon on Day 9 or 10 rather than take ground transportation?
Schultz PortugalOperator•Written June 2024Our tours are based on ground transportation. Unfortunatelly we do not offer flight transportation option. On this particular tour, on the 09th day we stop at Aveiro city on the way to Lisbon where we have included an experience - a traditional "moliceiro" boat ride. There is also the opportunity to taste the delicious regional sweet : "Ovos Moles". The journey is made in a comfortable Van. From Porto to Aveiro takes about 1h00 hr and from Aveiro to Lisbon takes about 2h30/2h45 hrs. We still have availability for requested dates
