- Day 1
Lisbon Arrival
You'll head to your hotel and get settled in for the next few days. Once you're checked in, take some time to relax or explore the immediate area. Stop by the hotel reception desk in the afternoon to check the boards for details about when your tour officially starts.
- Day 2
Lisbon
A guided tour takes you through Lisbon's historic seven hills, walking through charming alleys lined with iconic azulejo tiles. You'll see the Belém neighborhood where Portuguese explorers once embarked on voyages, then the afternoon is free to wander Bairro Alto and check out its viewpoint. An optional day trip to Sintra, Cascais, and Estoril is available. On the way back, you'll pass through Restauradores Square with its bars and cafés.

Lisbon to Albufeira
Early departure heading south through beautiful landscapes as you cross the Tagus River bridge toward the Algarve. You'll explore the historic walled city of Lagos with its old port, then continue to Cape St. Vincent at continental Europe's westernmost point where dramatic cliffs drop to the sea. The Sagres fortress comes next, followed by free time in Albufeira to walk the beaches or historic center before settling in.

Albufeira to Évora
Travel to Faro for a leisurely walk, then head inland into the Alentejo region. Mértola, a walled town-museum sitting on the Guadiana River, features whitewashed houses and medieval streets worth exploring. Later you'll reach Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you can see the Chapel of Bones constructed from over 5,000 skeletons, medieval palaces, Gothic religious buildings, and an ancient Roman temple.

Évora to Fátima
Moving through Alentejo landscapes, you'll stop in the walled town of Marvão for sweeping panoramic views, then visit Castelo de Vide to see its castle and medieval Jewish quarter. After lunch, head to Tomar and explore the Convent of Christ, a former castle-convent belonging to the Knights Templar. A stop in Aljustrel lets you see the village connected to the Virgin Mary apparitions. By evening you'll arrive in Fátima with free time to visit the Sanctuary or watch the candlelight procession if you wish.

Fátima to Porto
Travel north to Porto, getting there around 11:00 a.m. Board a 50-minute cruise along the Douro River on a traditional Portuguese Rabelo boat to see the riverside from the water. Then walk through the Ribeira district with its narrow streets, historic merchant houses, and cafés before heading to the hotel.

Porto to Santiago de Compostela
Travel through scenic landscapes to Braga where you'll take the world's oldest water-operated cable car up to the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus and enjoy the views, then walk back down its ornate staircase. Into Galicia next, stopping in Cambados for a glass-bottom boat trip on Ría de Arousa learning about mussel and oyster farming, plus wine and mussel tasting onboard. Arrive in Santiago de Compostela for a guided tour of medieval streets and pilgrimage sites.

Cross the Cantabrian Range into Asturias, arriving in Oviedo by evening for a guided tour of the 9th-century cathedral, Calatrava Congressional Palace, Campoamor Theatre, and Calle de la Rua.
