Arrival
You'll arrive this evening and get settled at your hotel. Take some time to relax and prepare for the safari adventure starting tomorrow. It's a good opportunity to grab dinner and get oriented before heading out into the reserves.

Maasai Mara National Reserve
This morning you'll head out to Maasai Mara National Reserve. After lunch back at the lodge, get ready for your first game drive where you'll search for the Big 5 - lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and Cape buffalo. It's an exciting introduction to what the reserve has to offer.

Maasai Mara National Reserve
You've got both morning and afternoon game drives scheduled in Maasai Mara. The park sits within the Serengeti ecosystem and has a strong permanent wildlife population year-round. If you're visiting during Great Migration season, roughly 2 million wildebeest and zebra move through, drawing predators like lion, cheetah, leopard, and hyena.

Maasai Mara to Amboseli National Park
Early in the day you'll fly to Nairobi for a short break. From there, it's a drive to Amboseli National Park, which offers spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro on clear days. After settling in at your lodge, you'll head out for an afternoon game drive to get your first look at the park.

Amboseli National Park
Morning and afternoon game drives give you chances to see the park's mighty elephants, along with Cape buffalo, zebra, wild dogs, and other wildlife. During the heat of the day, relax back at your lodge where it's cooler before heading out again later.

Amboseli to Lake Manyara
You'll cross into Tanzania this morning. After lunch in Arusha, continue on to your camp which overlooks Lake Manyara. It's a good chance to stretch your legs and settle in before tomorrow's exploration of the lake and surrounding park.

Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park is small but ecologically diverse, with groundwater forests, grassy plains, and alkaline waters. Your morning game drive takes you out to spot the world's largest concentration of baboons, plus giraffe, hippo, and other animals. The afternoon is free time back at your lodge to rest or explore on your own.

Ngorongoro Crater
Today you'll descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. The crater is the world's largest unflooded caldera, more than 2,000 feet deep with a floor covering over 102 square miles. Most animals stay year-round, so game viewing is fantastic - watch for lion, Cape buffalo, hippo, elephant, and flamingo. This is also your best chance to spot the rare black rhinoceros. A picnic lunch will be set up right in the crater.

You're driving to Serengeti National Park today, Tanzania's largest and most famous park. It's home to the annual Great Migration of wildebeest and zebra and attracts visitors from all over. After lunch at your lodge, you'll head out for an afternoon game drive to start exploring this iconic reserve.

Serengeti National Park
The Serengeti covers roughly 5,700 square miles - the name actually comes from the Maasai word siringit, which means 'endless plains.' You've got morning and afternoon game drives to continue exploring. Keep an eye out for big cats like lion, leopard, and cheetah, plus Nile crocodile, giraffe, gazelle, eland, and plenty of other wildlife.

Departure
This morning you'll fly back to Arusha, and a day room has been arranged for your use. You can rest, clean up, and have lunch before heading to the airport. Plan your departure flights for after 5 pm to give yourself plenty of time.
