  2. Day 2

    Luang Prabang to Phou Khoun

This is a bigger cycling day, so you'll want to start at 8 AM. From Luang Prabang, the route heads into the mountains with some solid climbs and descents that offer views down into the valleys below. You'll ride through small Hmong villages and get a sense of how people live in these areas. The support vehicle is there if you need help on the harder sections, and by evening you'll pull into Phou Khoun, a mountain town where you'll stay overnight.

  3. Day 3

Phou Khoun to Plain of Jars

Beginning at 8 AM from Phou Khoun, you're heading toward the Plain of Jars. The day mixes cycling through rural landscapes with support vehicle help for the longer stretches. You'll see how people go about their daily lives in these communities, and as you arrive at the Plain of Jars, the landscape opens up to reveal massive stone jars scattered across the terrain, a mysterious archaeological site with theories still circulating about their original purpose.

  4. Day 4

    Plain of Jars

Today is all about exploring the Plain of Jars by bike, so you'll have time to really take it in. You'll cycle between different Jar Sites, each one giving you a different angle on this historical place. The terrain is mostly flat, which means you can stop frequently to walk around the giant jars, take photos, and read up on what experts think these structures were used for all those centuries ago.

    Included Activities

    • Cycle between different Jar Sites
    • Explore the ancient and mysterious stone jars

  5. Day 5

Plain of Jars to Vang Vieng

Departing at 7:30 AM, you're heading to Vang Vieng. This day has a good chunk of transfer time by vehicle, with only short cycling sections through quiet rural areas. Along the way you'll see traditional Laotian life happening around you. Once you arrive in Vang Vieng, the plan is to relax at a natural resort and give your legs a chance to recover from the earlier riding days.

    Accommodation
Resort (Bearlin Bungalow Vang Vieng Resort)

You'll do a nice loop through the countryside, stopping at places like Tham Chang Cave and checking out some good viewpoints along the way. Since the cycling distance is shorter today, there's plenty of time to explore each spot properly and try optional activities if water-based recreation interests you.

Your final cycling day starts at 8 AM from Vang Vieng heading to Vientiane. After a short transfer out of town, you'll cycle through landscapes that gradually shift from rural areas into the city's outskirts. The support vehicle helps navigate the busier roads as you approach Vientiane, making sure the entry into the city is smooth and safe, and that's where the tour wraps up.

    End point
    Vientiane, Laos (Traveler's Accommodation, 16:00 - 19:00)

A wonderful ride through the many a varied landscapes of Vietnam. Our tour started in the riverine terrain of the Saigon River taking in the sights of the Cu Chi tunnels then transitioning through the foothills to the mountains of the central highlands. We then cycled down to the central coast arriving in Hoi An. Vietnam is a veritable Garden of Eden. A lush and fertile land blessed with many wonderful vegetables, herbs and fruit. Our guide was a passionate Vietnamese man, Mr. Loc, who took great delight in showing us the varied and delicious cuisine. Mr. Loc and his driver Mr. Nhuan took great care of us keeping us well supplied with drinks and healthy snacks along the route.

This one of the most life changing experiences we've ever done. To meet so many different types of people, to see how happy they are to meet you, give you gifts and invite you into their homes was extraordinary. Our guide Lythangloc was the real deal. From the Mekong area he knew the area and the people intrinsically. Very considerate of our adaptation to the climate and environment heensure
