Itinerary
- Day 1
Windhoek to Etosha National Park
You'll get picked up in Windhoek and head north toward Etosha National Park. Once you arrive at your lodge, there's time to settle in and grab lunch before heading out on an afternoon game drive. The salt pans are where you're most likely to see elephants, lions, and various antelope species moving through. After you head back to camp, dinner's waiting and then it's your first night surrounded by the sounds of the bush.

- Day 2
Etosha National Park
This day is all about game drives throughout Etosha's different landscapes. You'll spend most of your time stopping at waterholes where wildlife congregates, and there's a real chance to spot rhinos along with the other animals you saw yesterday. The savannahs here are genuinely vast and open, so you get that sense of scale. Lunch happens at a rest stop or back at the lodge depending on your guide's route, then you'll return to camp for an evening game drive if energy permits, followed by dinner under the stars.

Etosha National Park to Opuwo
Early this morning there's one final game drive to catch any wildlife you might have missed. After breakfast you'll transition into a different kind of landscape, heading northwest into Kaokoland's rougher terrain. The drive toward Opuwo takes most of the day, and lunch gets served somewhere along the route. You'll pull into Opuwo by afternoon with time to check into your lodge and freshen up before dinner.

- Day 4
Opuwo
After breakfast you'll head out with a guide to visit a traditional Himba village. The experience focuses on understanding their customs, traditional hairstyles, clothing practices, and how they actually live day to day. It's structured to be respectful and genuine rather than performative. You'll return to Opuwo by lunchtime, giving the afternoon free for relaxing around town or at the lodge, then there's dinner back at your accommodation.

- Day 5
Opuwo to Windhoek
Breakfast comes early, and then you start the drive back south toward Windhoek. There's a lunch stop partway to break up the journey. By late afternoon you'll be back in the capital, ending the trip with experiences ranging from seeing Etosha's wildlife to connecting with Himba communities and their way of life.
