We would like to do the Sossusvlei and Etosha Tour in May 2026

I'm interested in the 7-day tour, but I noticed it requires a minimum of two people. Since I'll be traveling solo, is it possible to book the tour on my own? If so, could you please let me know what the single supplement would be?

You can absolutely go on the tour alone! We welcome solo travelers, and there is a single supplement of $200 USD per person.

Is the September 3rd date confirmed? My medications sometimes make me sleep 10 hours. Is that doable on the tour? What are your protocols for Medical Emergencies? Are there vehicular ambulances or just medical evacuations by air?

Yes the 3rd is guaranteed departure. you might not be able to sleep 10 hours on a tour as we have early mornings. I will find out in terms of emergencies.

The lodges do offer vegetarian meals. This Tour departs every Tuesday, you will be required to be in Windhoek on a Monday to allow us to depart on Tuesday morning around 9 am. We normally use the following lodges: Namib Desert Lodge in Sossusvlei, Hotel A La Mer in Swakopmund, Toshari Lodge in Etosha National Park. These accommodations can only be guaranteed due to availability, if they are not available at the time of your booking, we will use alternative accommodation. After the Tour, we are back in Windhoek between 2pm and 4pm.

Can you do a triple room on this tour? Also, if we have a fourth person, what would be the cost to do this as a private tour for the four people?

Some of the lodges do not have triple rooms you will be accommodated in 2 rooms instead. If its 4 people the rate is USD 2200 per person.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before January 24th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after January 24th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Discovery Transfers and Tours. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 40 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Discovery Transfers and Tours will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
