  I recently joined the “Splendour of Sri Lanka – 8 Days, 7 Nights” tour by the travel company beauty lanka travels and overall I was highly satisfied with the whole experience. The itinerary was thoughtfully put together, offering a wonderful mix of culture, nature, and relaxation—it really gave me a strong sense of what makes Sri Lanka so special. One of the standout parts was our driver, Janaka. He was exceptionally kind, professional, and attentive throughout the trip and he was always ready to help—whether it was adjusting the schedule a little to suit our pace or pointing out little local gems we might otherwise have missed. In short, he turned what could have been just another tour into something memorable. Accommodation, meals, tour logistics—all were handled well, and I felt in good hands from start to finish. I would definitely recommend this tour (and especially Janaka as a driver) to anyone wanting to see a lot of Sri Lanka in a short time while being well looked after.

  The driver/guide Gayan was excellent. Always attentive and easy to communicate with. He was always available to help us throughout the trip. However, the organization of the tour was more or less successful. For example, we had to fight for a seat on the train... and we had to stand, even though the purpose of taking this train is to enjoy the scenery. The company was supposed to get the tickets, but it seems they're not organized enough to buy them in advance. However, the biggest problem is the quality of the hotels, which is really uneven and some hotels are disgusting, while others are wonderful. I also don't like the fact that people choose the restaurants at lunchtime for me: some places seem to be imposed on me because the driver eats there for free.   This tour seemed to include what most people would want to see. The hotels were excellent, probably better than I was expecting. Being driven around in your own air-conditioned car had a lot going for it. Most cultural stuff was covered. Saw a reasonably amount of wildlife.

  Great tour not one of the offered options but a 16 day bespoke trip. We worked out the itinerary with Beauty Lanka who were really efficient and helpful. They were recommended by a family member who had been with them in March. Did not disappoint, booked all hotels we wanted and all went smoothly. The driver we were allocated Amile was fantastic from start to finish. Friendly, professional and good company. He was always offering suggestions to make our days well spent and was happy to adjust if we asked. Loved that he showed us an array of Sri Lankan fruits we had never seen or eaten stopping to buy and taste. We went up as far as Anuradhapura and the sacred city definitely worth a visit and take a local guide. We used Chamal who was excellent. Our trip did not take in the east coast but we had some rest days in Mirissa after the whale watching. Our schedule had been busy until then. Such a varied island and our tour enabled us to sample a lot of that. We’ll be sorry to leave !

  This was a fantastic experience made all the better by the organisers Beauty Lanka Tours in helping fine tune the arrangements to extend it to 17 days and make sure we experienced the most we could. Even then the beauty and variety of Sri Lanka was only sampled in part as there is so much to see. A special thanks to our guide Amila who made sure we got the best from the tour and helped adjustments on the fly as we travelled around. Always thinking ahead and checking we got the most from our time. It wouldn't have been the same without him. Will recommend them to all our friends.

  This is a fantastic tour and gives you a great taste of Sri Lanka. So many experiences including train ride, safari, temples, waterfalls, tea plantations etc , our driver and guide Sampat was brilliant. We could not have asked for a better guide. He went over and beyond to make our trip magical. Nothing was too much trouble and he gave us a good understanding of life and culture in Sti Lanka.

  Good itinerary, and had a very flexible driver which is really appreciated. Though a couple of the accommodations water pressure only lasted 5 mins, then left with no water. They could be a little better with the accommodations.

  My husband and I spent the last 8 days travelling around Sri Lanka through this tour operator and have enjoyed the trips and cultural experiences that the detailed itinerary offered. The online booking process was quick and efficient. Over the course of the months leading up to the tour beginning, all questions were answered swiftly and professionally. A detailed itinerary was sent with hotel and driver/ tour guide details a few days to the tour commencing, including a breakdown of the cost of each excursion visited- you can skip any trips you do not wish to take. One piece of advice , if you wish to book reserved seating for the train ride, then you must do this independently as the company does not reserve tickets, which they did say they would but didn't, resulting in us standing for 3 and half hours squashed in like sardines and not seeing any of the scenery. The day before the tour started, our driver/guide, Asanka, reached out via what'sapp to introduce himself and to confirm the pick up location and time, which we thought was a lovely guesture. The morning off the tour, Asanka was there waiting for us with a friendly smile on his face, which put our minds at ease, considering this was our first time in Sri Lanka. Over the next 8 days, Asanka was always professional, punctual, and friendly; he became more than just a driver/guide, making sure that he took care of us in every way possible. Throughout the tour, Asanka was extremely knowledgeable about the sites and his country, which he seemed proud to share with us. We couldn't have wished for a better person - he really is a true asset to the company. We stayed at six different hotels throughout our trip and can say that this is what lets the tour company down - only 4 out of these were of an acceptable standard. Two hotels were completely unacceptable to stay in and I would not even rate them as 1 star . in one, there was a large open metal grill in the shower, which left you feeling very uncomfortable as your top half was on show when showering and overlooked the pool area. The other hotel was a complete construction site, full of building materials throughout, dirty floors, and torwels, which was unsuitable for anyone to stay in. The company really must do better to make sure that the hotels on offer are looked into and changed. As this really was unacceptable. All in all, despite the the two extremely poor hotels, the tour itself was truly breathtaking, and we felt like we got to experience the true beauty of what Sri Lanka really has to offer thanks to Asanka- our newly aquainted family member. Please do not hesitate to ask for Asanka when booking your tour as you really will not be disappointed!
