- LELyn· November 18th, 2023Our tour guides were well versed. They knew so much about their country(s). Accomodation and breakfasts provided were 5/5. The varying experiences were also well planned and executed. Nothing was too much trouble. We were treated exceptionally well, just like family. This was a fabulous tour. Would absolutely recommend it.Show moreAdvantour Caucasus commented on this reviewDear Lyn, thank you for your feedback! - JWJohn· November 16th, 2023We toured with Advantour, with offices in Bishkek, Georgia & Tashkent & the experience was amazing. We saw incredible historical & geological sights & experienced cultures, history, met wonderful people & tasted great wine (especially in Georgia). Our guides were very friendly, knowledgeable & more than willing to help if issued arose. All of them had a passion for their country & wanted to share their knowledge with us. The accommodation was outstanding too. Our contact person, Yuriy, was very organised, friendly, enjoying a joke & good wine & always answered our emails/concerns prior to departure, expeditiously.Show moreAdvantour Caucasus commented on this reviewDear John, thank you for your feedback on our tour. - JVJimke· September 29th, 2022Our tour was well organised and ran like clockwork. All connections across the 3 borders were on time. Our guides Jamil, Salome and Joanna were excellent- their knowledge of everything superb. The 3 drivers were equally competent. One of the best tours we have done with Tourradar. Our special thanks go to Ana Pataridze of Advantour for always making sure that the tour went smoothly. Best regards, Jimke and Sue VisserShow moreAdvantour Caucasus commented on this reviewDear Jim and Sue, Thank you for sharing your feedback on how your Caucasus tour went. - Ronald E· January 24th, 2020I found the tour well balanced, neither too hectic nor too laid back. Some of the drives were fairly long but regularly broken up with activities. Border crossings, as always in this part of the world, were tedious or quick based on the luck of the draw and whether one of your fellow travelers has visa/passport issues. I feel that I got a good taste of the cultures of Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Armenia. Speaking of taste, being a willing to try anything "foodie," there was a good mix of meals provided and on your own with some local cuisine in provided meals. I do not recommend going out and trying the Armenian Khash [boiled cow’s feet served with dry Lavash and radishes]. Only large quantities of vodka got me through it.Show moreAdvantour Caucasus commented on this reviewThank you! It is a real pleasure to hear such a high praise. We are glad we could assist you in your journey across the Caucasus. You also have our admiration for trying Khash. Not an easy dish to digest!Trip date: October 2019

- HHowardBaker· January 16th, 2020Superb organisation. Extremely knowledgeable, multilingual and personable guides. Beautiful countryside and impressive mountains. Excellent hotels and a thoughtful itinerary. The countries of the Caucasus are steeped in history at the crossroads of Asia and Europe. We felt entirely safe throughout even in the backstreets of Tbilisi at night. Friendly locals and fascinating local languages. Bus transport spacious and comfortable. Attention to detail by the folk at Advantour with whom we we were in communication for a year or so prior to the tour. Nothing was too much trouble for them.Show moreAdvantour Caucasus commented on this reviewDear Howard, We are very happy that we could host you in Caucasus and make the visit here enjoyable. This tour includes exclusive three lunches in families where you can experience not only the local hospitality but also sample local home style food. We also visit a winery in Georgia. In top of that, on day 6 you have a possibility to join an optional tour to two places: a family run winery and also a family cheese factory. All this, but not only this, brings you closer with locals and balances the historical part of our itinerary.

Asked on February 5th, 2024I am 77 years old and not very fit. Can't climb a lot of stairs and can't walk too far. Can I do this trip or isn't too strenuous
- Advantour CaucasusOperator•Written February 2024
This tour is not very active and does not include hiking days or long walks. However, you will need to walk to see the attractions that are included. For example, in Baku, Tbilisi, and Yerevan, city tours are mostly walking and may take 2.5-4 hours each. To visit Diri Baba Mausoleum in Azerbaijan, you will also need to walk a bit (15 minutes one way). Uplistsikhe cave town in Georgia is to be explored on foot, it takes around 1.5 hours. To reach Sevanavank in Armenia you will need to climb 300 stairs. Additionally, you will need to walk while exploring the Symphony of Stones in Armenia. To visit other included attractions, travelers need to walk a little. Regarding crossing the land borders between our countries, travelers need to cross the borders on foot themselves with luggage. It is up 600 meters slightly uphill between Azerbaijan and Georgia, and 200 meters between Georgia and Armenia.
