You'll arrive in Nairobi and get a traditional Swahili welcome before heading to your boutique hotel. Spend the rest of the day getting settled and resting up, since you've got a safari ahead of you.

After breakfast, you'll head out to see the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust where they care for orphaned elephants and rhinos. Stop for lunch at one of the city's good restaurants, then head back to your hotel for a relaxed evening.

Nairobi to Maasai Mara
You'll fly to the Maasai Mara and check into Sand River Masai Mara camp right along the Great Migration route. That afternoon, your guide takes you out on a game drive across the plains to start spotting wildlife.

- Day 4
Maasai Mara
Pick between a dawn hot air balloon ride for aerial views or visiting a traditional Maasai village to learn their way of life. After your morning activity, you'll do more game viewing on the plains. The day ends around the campfire with other travelers, swapping stories about what you've seen.

Maasai Mara
Rise early and get out on a game drive during the best light when wildlife is most active. You'll look for black-maned lions, leopards, and cheetahs roaming around. You'll also check out the riverbanks where hippos hang out and crocodiles sun themselves.

Maasai Mara to Serengeti
You'll fly to the Serengeti in Tanzania and settle into camp positioned either in the south or north. Right after arriving, your guide takes you out on a game drive to start tracking the massive herds of wildebeests and zebras.

Serengeti
There's an optional sunrise hot air balloon ride available to see the plains from above. Later you'll do morning and afternoon game drives with your guide hunting for prime wildlife viewing spots. Evening brings you back to camp where the Serengeti's natural sounds create the backdrop.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
You'll fly to Lake Manyara and transfer to your lodge near Ngorongoro in the lush highlands. Spend the afternoon relaxing and taking in the surroundings. There's a spa at the lodge if you want a treatment before tomorrow's crater exploration.
