Nairobi
You'll land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi where a Classic Journeys Africa representative will meet you. After a quick briefing, you're transferred to your hotel and introduced to your driver guide who stays with you for the entire safari.

Nairobi to Masai Mara
Following breakfast and a guide briefing, you'll drive to Masai Mara National Reserve, famous for the annual migration of over one million wildebeest. You arrive in time for lunch, then head out for an afternoon game drive. Back at the lodge by evening for cocktails around the campfire and dinner.

Masai Mara
This is a full day on safari in one of Africa's best wildlife areas. You'll see Kenya's largest lion prides and elephant herds, plus leopards, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, hippos, Nile crocodiles, giraffes, gazelles, zebras, buffalo, and over 550 bird species. Hot air balloon flights with champagne breakfast or Masai village visits are available if interested.

Masai Mara to Serengeti
After breakfast, you'll drive toward the neighboring Serengeti with packed lunch boxes. There's a brief stop at Isebania border for customs and immigration, then you continue into Serengeti and reach your camp with time to settle before a classic safari dinner.

Serengeti
You spend the full day game driving across the 14,763 sq km Serengeti savannah, home to the annual migration of over one million wildebeest plus lions, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, and other plains game. Meals happen right out in the bush. You return to camp for the night.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro
Departing after breakfast with picnic boxes, you'll stop at Ol Duvai Gorge, known as the 'Cradle of Mankind' and one of the world's most important prehistoric sites. Then it's on to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with its rolling plains, lakes, craters, mountains, and dormant volcanoes. You arrive in time for dinner with an optional cultural village visit.

Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a unique biosphere with grasslands, swamps, forests, saltpans, a fresh water lake, and diverse birdlife. You'll see all members of the Big Five plus other plains game and some of Africa's densest predator populations. A picnic lunch happens on the crater floor before you climb back up to the lodge.

Ngorongoro to Zanzibar
Following breakfast at the lodge, you drive to Arusha with lunch on your own. Then it's time to head to Arusha Airport for a flight to Zanzibar departing at 14:00 and arriving at 15:30. Upon arrival, you're transferred to your hotel at Uroa Bay with direct access to a private beach with ivory sands, restaurants, and water activities.

Zanzibar
You spend the day at Uroa Bay Beach Resort enjoying the accommodations and local atmosphere. Optional activities include diving, snorkeling, fishing, and sailing in traditional Dhows or speedboats. The Spice Tour explores Zanzibar's famous clove market, and the Stone Town Tour features historical sites and local architecture.

Zanzibar
Another day at Uroa Bay with plenty of optional choices. The Jozani Forest Tour explores beautiful mangrove forests and the rare Zanzibar Red Colobus monkey. The Dolphin Adventure at the island's southern tip includes snorkeling and swimming. The Blue Safaris motorized Dhow trip heads to mangrove forests, sandbars, and Kwale Island with an 85% chance of seeing dolphins. Lunch of local and seafood dishes is served on the beach.
