Arrival in Amman
You'll arrive at Amman airport and get picked up for transfer to your hotel. After you settle in, there's time to freshen up before heading down for dinner. It's a good chance to rest and get ready for the explorations starting tomorrow.

Ajloun - Jerash
Start early heading north from Amman to check out three major historical sites. First up is Umm Qais, where you can walk along an impressive colonnaded street and take in valley views. Then it's on to Ajloun Castle, sitting high with panoramic countryside stretching out around you. After that, Jerash shows you a remarkably preserved ancient city with plenty to see. You'll be back in Amman by early evening.

Amman
This afternoon focuses on Amman itself. Head up to the Citadel ruins on the hilltop, then check out the Roman Amphitheatre nearby. After that, wander through the vibrant downtown souks to get a feel for local life. Later, move over to West Amman where you'll find upscale restaurants, bars, and nice neighborhoods. Finish the day walking down Rainbow Street, which has good dining and shopping scattered throughout.

Mount Nebo - Shoubak - Petra
Drive to Madaba, known as the City of Mosaics, and see Byzantine-era mosaics including the famous mosaic map of Jerusalem at St George's Church. From there, head to Mount Nebo, an important biblical site where Moses looked out over the Holy Land. The Byzantine church complex there is worth exploring. Next comes Shoubak Castle, which sits dramatically on a rocky hilltop with spectacular desert views all around. You'll arrive in Petra by late afternoon.

Petra and Wadi Rum
Take a guided tour through Petra, the UNESCO site that's really something. You'll enter through the narrow Siq gorge and see the iconic Treasury facade, then walk through the Roman Theatre, Street of Facades, and Royal Tombs. The afternoon is free to explore on your own, which means finding hidden passages, tombs, and palaces at your pace. Some people climb to the High Palace of Sacrifice for views, while others hike 800 steps to the Monastery. Later, drive to Wadi Rum for a traditional Bedouin dinner under the stars.

Wadi Rum to Aqaba
After breakfast, get into a 4WD for a 2-hour safari through Wadi Rum's towering sandstone mountains and narrow canyons. Then drive to the beach resort of Aqaba. The afternoon is yours to do what you want, whether that's shopping or just relaxing by the Red Sea.

Aqaba to Dead Sea
Keep things relaxed this morning in Aqaba. In the afternoon, you'll head to the Dead Sea resort, arriving in the evening to settle in.
