He is a kind, understanding, approachable and thoughtful person. He made our trip both enjoyable and memorable. He went out of his way to tell us about local cuisine and where to experience them. The selection of hotels was good with close proximity to the old towns. The tour kept to schedule and was very comfortable. This was booked as a group tour, but ended up being a private tour and we definitely benefited from the added flexibility. In three days we visited clocktowers, monasteries and churches, got city walking tours and of course Peles and Brans Castles. Florin also introduced us to local food and provided some recommendations for specific delicacies. As we had time to spare before our flight, he also recommended spending time at the Spa Therme near the airport, which was a very good call. Trip date: October 2019 - Chris· October 14th, 2019The guide (Florin) was excellent and I have no complaints there at all. I was very surprised to be the only one on the tour. I was shocked to find that we did not spend the night in Sighisoara as per the itinerary but drove back to Brasov. The hotel in Brasov was sub standard. Lights didn’t work properly - owner just laughed. Door handle was off bathroom door - I screwed it on myself. The biggest shock was the price. I paid over 220usd extra for a single supplement yet I could have booked a (better) room in this hotel for 40usd per night, online. Breakfast started at 10am but we left 8:15-8:30 each day so I had to find my own breakfast and get reimbursed. Starbucks was the only option open on the first morning. Meals that Florin recommended (not included) were excellent. No entrance fees are included for any of the visits so this is an exceptionally expensive tour and not one I could recommend with that cost. Further to being the only one on the tour... This needs to be notified. If you prefer a 4-star or 5-star option, we can arrange it for an additional cost—just let us know your preference. We can drop you off at the airport, but please share your flight time so we can check if we can accommodate it. We usually arrive in the afternoon but will do our best to adjust. The group size can be up to 6 people, but the tour will still take place even if it's just the two of you.
