10 Days in Jordan, incl. Petra and Wadi Rum
Luxurious stays mark this route through 5 major Jordan destinations: 2 nights at St. Regis Amman, 1 night at Memories Aicha Wadi Rum camp, 2 nights at Hotel Al Manara Aqaba, 2 nights at Movenpick Petra, and 2 nights at Kempinski Dead Sea, featuring Madaba mosaics, Jerash ruins, and Petra's Treasury.

- Days 1-2
Amman and Northern Jordan
Plan to arrive in Amman in the afternoon to skip rush hour traffic. Take the first evening to relax and get over jet lag. On day two, get to Madaba early before the tour groups show up to see the Byzantine mosaics. It's about a 45-minute drive. Spend the afternoon at Jerash, about 1.5 hours north. You'll need a hat and water since the ruins don't offer much shade. "The bagpipers in Jerash's ancient theater created such an unexpected but memorable atmosphere. Go around 4 PM when the light is perfect for photos."

- Day 3
King's Highway to Wadi Rum
Drive the scenic King's Highway south to Karak Castle, about 3 hours from Amman. Watch your step in the castle - the stairs can be slippery. Continue another 3 hours to Wadi Rum through some incredible landscape. Try to get there before sunset for the best views. Pack some warm clothes - the desert gets cold at night, even in summer.

- Days 4-5
Aqaba
Start with an early morning jeep safari in Wadi Rum at 7 AM when the light is better and it's cooler. Then drive an hour to Aqaba. The snorkeling is great here, especially in the morning before the wind picks up. The Lagoon area is good for staying - the water is calmer and the beaches are easier to access.

- Days 6-7
Petra
You'll want two full days in Petra, which is about 2.5 hours from Aqaba. Get there at 7 AM to avoid crowds and heat. It takes about 30 minutes to walk through the Siq to the Treasury. Make time for the Monastery - it's 850 steps up but less busy than the Treasury. Bring a jacket for Petra by Night since it gets pretty cold. "The cooking class in Petra Kitchen was incredible - we learned to make proper Jordanian mansaf and the chef shared so many local cooking secrets."

- Days 8-9
Dead Sea
- Day 10
Departure from Amman
10 Days in Jordan, incl. Petra and Wadi Rum
The comprehensive route through Jordan encompasses 9 cities, from Amman's ancient citadel to Petra's Treasury. Notable stops include Jerash's Roman ruins, Madaba's Byzantine mosaics, Mount Nebo's viewpoints, and Wadi Rum's desert landscape, with accommodations in hotels and Bedouin camps.

- Days 1-2
Amman
Arrive at Queen Alia International Airport and take a 40-minute transfer to central Amman. Book afternoon flights to avoid traffic jams. Spend your first evening in the modern Jabal Amman neighborhood getting oriented. Your second day starts with an early morning trip to Jerash, a well-preserved Roman city 45 minutes north of Amman. Visit before it gets too hot. Return to Amman and visit the Citadel at sunset for great photos. Check out the Roman Theater below - sit in the fifth row up in the middle section for the best acoustics.

- Day 3
Madaba & Mount Nebo
- Days 4-5
Petra
Petra is the crown jewel of Jordan. Get there when gates open at 6am to experience the site before crowds arrive. One visitor shared: "Getting there at sunrise meant we had the Treasury almost to ourselves for photos. By 9am, the tour buses arrive and it gets packed." Plan for two full days of exploring. The site is huge and requires lots of walking on rough terrain. Good hiking shoes are essential, especially for the Monastery climb (800 steps). Want the best Treasury photos? Take the Al-Khubtha Trail across from it - locals can point you in the right direction.

- Day 6
Wadi Rum
- Days 7-8
Aqaba
- Day 9
Dead Sea
- Day 10
Return to Amman
10 Day Jordan Itinerary, incl. Petra and Wadi Rum
An extensive tour covers 12 Jordanian cities, from Amman's ancient Citadel to Aqaba's coastal charm. Highlights include Petra's rock-cut architecture, Dead Sea floating, and Wadi Rum camping, guided by multilingual experts with perfect 5.0 ratings.

- Day 1
Amman Arrival
- Day 2
Amman - Jerash - Ajloun
Visit Amman's main attractions like the Citadel and Roman Theater. Drive an hour north to Jerash, known as the "Pompeii of the East." Set aside 2-3 hours to explore this large site. Visit medieval Ajloun Castle in the pine forests but bring sturdy shoes since the castle steps can be slippery. Return to Amman for the evening.

- Day 3
Madaba - Mount Nebo - Dead Sea
Visit Madaba early to see the Byzantine mosaic map at St. George's Church before tour groups arrive. The drive takes 45 minutes. Stop at Mount Nebo for valley views. Between April and October you can hike at Wadi Mujib. End your day floating in the Dead Sea but remember not to get the water in your eyes because of the high salt content.

- Day 4
Kings Highway to Dana
- Days 5-6
Petra
Take two full days to explore Petra. Start with the traditional Siq route to the Treasury and main city on day one. Try the "back door" route through Little Petra on day two for a different view. "We could not have been happier with our custom tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Jordanian history."

- Day 7
Wadi Rum Desert
- Day 8
Wadi Rum - Aqaba
- Days 9-10
Aqaba - Amman Departure

- 10 Day 9 Night Jordan Tour Highlights (CT-JHT-017)
This trip has been very unique and exceeded our expectations in different ways. From vast landscapes to a narrow siqs, from beautiful sunsets to a beautiful night skies, from deep valleys to high mountains and from cities to a local Bedouin camps, everything was mesmerising. However the most important part of the trip was the warmth, hospitality and unconditional love that we received from local Jordanian people. Two gems of persons were our tour driver Hisham Hale and our hiking guide Suleiman Hasaseen. Hisham was way more than just a tour driver. He genuinely cared for us to ensure we are enjoying our trip in his country; right from making sure we had enough water bottles in the car to taking us for a sumptuous Jordanian meal at his friend's place. Hisham also drove us to couple of extra places even though it was not in the itinerary. He sought feedback from us every single day about our previous day, accommodation, guides and food. We would not have enjoyed our meals at some very amazing restaurants if it had not been Hisham. He knew each city very well; the best food, best coffee and best people to take us on tours or hiking. Before ending the 11 day trip with him, he gifted us souvenirs, took us to a very famous sweets shop and also offered us a meal. We are very grateful that Hisham treated us like his own family. Young Suleiman guided us on the Wadi Dana trail and Wadi Ghuweir trail. Words are short to describe his personality and the happy lifestyle. We were amazed by his thoughts and mindset. Sometimes too much education, luxury and exposure can create complex thought process and we may forget some of the basic principles of being happy. We realised this after spending time with Suleiman during the hikes. He spoke amazing English that he learnt just by speaking to tourists. His lifestyle is minimalistic where even electricity is a luxury in his Bedouin tent. He is happy with what he has - A Tent, Goats and his passion to work as a tourist guide. His idea of life was so simple yet filled with happiness, satisfaction and freedom. After both treks, he invited us to his home, his tent where his mother had prepared a bedouin tea for us. We felt so welcomed and warm in his tent. He once said during the trek that even a simple bread offered with pure love can taste much better than a luxury expensive meal offered with no love. We could realise it after his mom had packed some home made bread for us for our treks. He also carried a tea pot with him during the treks and made us tea with fresh herbs. His interactions will affect our lives and our thought process too. Both Hisham and Suleiman are our friends now and we are happy to have come across these two beautiful souls. Inshallah we will meet soon again.
