- Day 1
Lima
You'll arrive in Lima and get transferred to your hotel. Once you're settled, the rest of the day is yours to explore the city at your own pace. Try some of Peru's local cuisine at one of the restaurants around town and get a feel for the place.

Lima
Start with a panoramic look at the Pucllana Pyramid, then head through Lima's historical center to see the colonial buildings and monuments. If it's open, the Museo de Banco Central de Reserva has Peruvian artifacts worth checking out. After that, you'll walk through the San Francisco complex and see the underground Caracumbas vaults.

Lima to Cusco
Fly to Cusco and settle into your hotel. Then spend time walking through Cusco's historic center, which mixes Spanish and Inca architecture with temples and ruins. Later, head to nearby archaeological sites including Kenko, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara, and Sacsayhuaman Fortress.

Sacred Valley
Head out to the Sacred Valley to see ancient Inca sites and local culture. Stop at Pisac Market to look at locally produced handicrafts, then move on to Ollantaytambo. This charming town has some of Peru's finest stonework, and you can grab coffee or lunch while you're there.

Machu Picchu
Take the train to Aguas Calientes where a representative will meet you for the journey to Machu Picchu. Spend the day walking through the ancient Inca citadel and checking out the impressive structures, terraces, and irrigation systems. Then catch the train back to Cusco.

Maras Salt Mines
Leave Cusco at 08:00 AM for the Maras region. Visit the village of Maras and walk through the Andean terraces of Moray, which the Incas used to grow different plants at different elevations. After that, you'll explore the Maras salt mines and temple.

Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca)
Drive about 3 hours from Cusco to Rainbow Mountain and have a traditional breakfast. Then trek at your own pace to the summit of Vinicunca. You'll see the 7-colored mountain display and the contrasting landscape from over 5,000 meters elevation.
