- MJMike· September 12th, 2023We had a wonderful time. Everyone we interacted with at G Adventures was amazing, including a late night visit from a doctor. Highly recommend this tour!Show moreTrip date: August 2023
- mary ann· March 11th, 2020Our guide was exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. The tour was fast paced but I wouldn’t have missed anything we saw. Only comment I can offer to help: emphasize how much easier it is to convert your money to soles rather than deal with American dollars.Show moreTrip date: March 2020
- LLLinda· January 11th, 2020I really enjoyed the tour. If I could ask for anything different, it would have been more opportunities to interact with the local community for a more immersive cultural experience.Show moreTrip date: December 2019
- LRLiliana· November 15th, 2019Excellent itinerary that went to all the places I wanted to visit in the Sacred Vally culminating in Machu Picchu. The guides were funny , knowledgeable and always kept us informed on where we were going and what to expect. They answered all questions swiftly and gave us advise on where to eat or shop .Show moreTrip date: October 2019
- SDSharon· October 21st, 2019This tour was great! Alim was amazing and took very good care of us. My one suggestion is it would have been nice to know how much walking and climbing was expected during the tour.Show moreTrip date: October 2019

- Marie· March 7th, 2019I really enjoyed my tour, small group was great, hotel breakfast was ok. One hotel had construction all day and couldn't relax in my room.Show moreNational Geographic Journeys with G Adventures commented on this reviewSo happy to hear that - thank you Marie.Trip date: February 2019
- PSPamela· December 17th, 2018Neil Garratt was excellent but not one of the options to select as our guide.Show moreTrip date: December 2018
- Jjohn· October 22nd, 2018Outstanding first trip to Peru! Amazing opportunity to get a nice overview of Lima and Cusco. Travelling through the Andes and hiking the last 7 miles of the Inca Trail were priceless. This trip gives a broad overview of a LOT but obviously to really get into more detail on any given region /city/cultural aspect requires a longer stay. Nonetheless, I don't think we could have possibly done more in 8 days. All the more reason to go back!Show moreNational Geographic Journeys with G Adventures commented on this reviewWhat a great overview - thanks John!Trip date: October 2018
- Hasan· July 17th, 2018Fantastic tour, lovely food and great guide. Had enough time everywhere except Cusco..could have done with an extra day or two there, so it's worth adding extra days to your tour to do more activities around Cusco.Show moreNational Geographic Journeys with G Adventures commented on this reviewThanks for your suggestion I'll make sure if gets to the right people. Super happy to hear everything else went well - Peru is Fabulous!Trip date: June 2018

Asked on March 8th, 2025We want to take the one day hike up the mountain to the Machu Pichu site. How strenuous is this hike? We walk several miles a day here in Denver, Colorado. We are 76 and 79 in excellent condition.
- National Geographic Journeys with G AdventuresOperator•Written March 2025
The trek consists of 11KM and is roughly 4-5 hours of hiking. Hiking starts at 9am on this day. Your trek will take you to about 2700 M above sea level. Hiking will be on uneven ground with portions of incline and decline.

Asked on January 29th, 2025I would like to understand better the difference between this tour Journeys: Explore Machu Picchu National Geographic Journeys and The Machu Picchu Adventure tour
- National Geographic Journeys with G AdventuresOperator•Written January 2025
The main difference is the accommodation. National Geographic Journeys style tours have nicer hotels and a few more included activities as well as an included arrival transfer. Both are great trips but if you wanted a bit nicer accommodation then the Explore Machu Picchu would be the better option.
