- Kathryn Donna· October 12th, 2025Itinerary contained to much war info and Catholic church info. Did not get to go in a mosque. Guide seemed to have a very strict agenda. People were tuning out and at some point; taking pictures of squirrels etc. Turjey is a.beautiful.country. Bus was old. Had no bathroom for emergencies.even though all other bus tours contained one. Food was horrible. Bus driver was great; tour guide was good. Breaks were not long enough.Show moreEskapas commented on this reviewHi Kathryn, Thank you for your time for reviewing us. - RBRosemary· October 8th, 20255 stars go to our guide, Erdam. His knowledge on all subjects was amazing and his presentation was objective and unbiased. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Our driver, whom we called the Captain, also did an excellent job. 5 stars to him as well.Show moreEskapas commented on this reviewHi Rosemary, Thank you for your kind review. We learnt so much about the culture, history and architecture. Our guide, Mr Eridim was very knowledgeable and gave a wide perspective and tips. Really enjoyed this group tour and our group gelled quickly and made lifelong friendships.Show moreEskapas commented on this reviewThank you Jose for your time to review us. - SSSusan· September 6th, 2025The tour was good but the Turkish nighr was an absolute rip off. It was very expensive and we did not get value for meney or good service.Show moreEskapas commented on this reviewHi Susan Thank you for your time. - Tatiana· August 12th, 2025Our Tour Guide Ozgur and our driver Sedat were excellent. Highly professional, extremely helpful and carrying. Pleasure to interact. - Katalin· August 1st, 2025The reason we chose this tour was based on our experience with a similar tour in Morocco. The first day itinerary takes you to the capitol where the only thing to see is a world class museum. The mausoleum of Kamal Ataturk while is significant for Turkish people, it can be easily missed. The long drive there is definitely not worth it. The second day is pretty much about the museum and the mausoleum visit, plus the underground city which was only a short welcome stop on a hot day. Third and fourth day in Cappadocia are probably the highlights is if you're lucky enough to do the hot air balloon ride. Not included in the price. The jeep ride is more for thrill seekers not worth the extra cost. Fourth and fifth days Pamukkale and Ephesus visits could be longer. Sixth day Pergamon, Troy are great. Seventh day on the drive back to Istanbul the WWI sites are interesting especially if you're from New Zeeland or Australia. Overall if I did want to do a tour of Turkey again I would chose a different itinerary and would spend time in Istanbul. Drive times were also long for frequent stops for bathroom breaks, that were rather cigarette brakes for the guides and the driver. The small bus was comfortable because of the size of the group, each person had a seat open next to them. Accommodations while they were advertised as 4 star, some were definitely way less than that. it would have been great to stay closer to the town center in Cappadocia, and maybe even in one the cave hotels. Food: breakfast and dinners were buffet style except in Ankara. Some better selections than others. The guide's English was ok for explanations given at third grade levels. I hope this review will help you make a decision to pick this tour.Show moreEskapas commented on this reviewHi Katalin, Thank you for your detailed review. Kind Regards, AysegulTrip date: July 2025

Guide very knowledgeable but lacked empathy.Show moreEskapas commented on this reviewHi Joanna, Thank you for your time to review us. Kind Regards AysegulTrip date: June 2025

Asked on September 9th, 2025We are vegetarian - Can you accommodate vegetarian food? At least two members need wheelchairs. Is this tour OK for people on wheelchairs? Do you provide wheelchairs, or we need to rent / or bring our own? Storage of extra luggage?
- EskapasOperator•Written September 2025
Unfortunately this tour is a group tour and the pace is not suitable for wheelchairs. Every day 2-3 miles walking on an uneven terrain.

Asked on September 6th, 2025Why did the tour guide collect money gor the Turkich night that was an absolute rip off?
- EskapasOperator•Written September 2025
The official guides in Turkey are Tourism Ministry guides and they are working independantly. Even they are working under Eskapas with a contract, they can sell small activities on their own. At Eskapas we are only selling two options one is Balloon ride the other one is the upgrade hotel in Cappadocia. In practice, we are not able to follow up their "their small business" in the field. We always recommend them to to choose the best available local restaurants or "show places" like you mentioned in your review. But it is the limit for our control. We will discuss it with all local guides to choose a best possible Turkish folkloric night.

Asked on August 30th, 2025We love this tour!!! And really want to book this for June next year, but we are getting off a cruise in Athens on June 1st. So can't make the June 1st departure but the June 8th departure is too long for us to wait. We were hoping to fly to Istanbul June 2nd to start a tour either the 2nd or the 3rd. Do you know if this is possible to do this particular tour on those dates instead?
- EskapasOperator•Written August 2025
We cannot amend the departure date as it is a group tour and guaranteed departure. However you can join the tour in Cappadocia on June 2nd. You can fly with Pegasus or Turkish Airlines from Athens to Cappadocia (ASR Kayseri airport) via Istanbul. We can subtract the accommodation 55USD per person in Ankara.
