- Day 1
Antananarivo
You'll land at Ivato International Airport in Antananarivo and meet your driver guide for the transfer to your hotel. After checking in, the rest of the day is yours to explore the capital at your own pace. It's a good time to get oriented and maybe grab a meal somewhere local.

Antananarivo to Sainte Marie
Your driver guide picks you up for the trip to the airport and you'll take a domestic flight to Sainte Marie. Once you land, you're transferred to your hotel for check-in. The afternoon and evening are free, so you can settle in and start getting a feel for the island.

Sainte Marie
From July through September, you'll head out on a whale watching tour from a local harbor looking for humpback whales in the waters around Sainte Marie. Outside that season, the day is open and you can spend it however you'd like exploring the island.

Sainte Marie
No scheduled activities today, so you can move at your own speed. Take a walk along the sandy beach and enjoy the surroundings, or sign up for optional water activities if something interests you. It's a good day to just relax.

Sainte Marie to Mahambo
After a free morning on Sainte Marie, you'll board a boat for a 3.5-hour journey to Mahambo. Once you arrive, you'll check in at your hotel and have the evening to settle in.

- Day 6
Mahambo to Akanin'ny Nofy
From Mahambo, your driver guide takes you to the port in Tamatave where you'll board a boat heading through the Pangalane Canal toward Akanin'ny Nofy. The canal scenery is the highlight here as you travel through. After you arrive, check in at your hotel for the night.

Akanin'ny Nofy
Start the morning in Palmarium Reserve with a local guide checking out tens of thousands of endemic palm trees and spotting 7 lemur species plus reptiles and amphibians. After lunch and some rest, you'll take an afternoon boat tour down the Pangalane Canal to visit a local fishing village. At dusk, head out for an evening walk on Aye-Aye Island hunting for the endangered aye-aye lemurs.

Akanin'ny Nofy to Andasibe
You'll travel from Akanin'ny Nofy to Andasibe, about 3 hours away, in a high-performance 4WD vehicle built to handle Madagascar's difficult roads. Check in at your hotel when you arrive, then head out that evening for a night safari in the nearby forest with a local guide to see nocturnal wildlife.

- Day 9
Andasibe
Spend the day exploring Mantadia National Park, one of Madagascar's original five national parks. The rainforest here contains 80% of Madagascar's rare species including 11 lemur types, birds, and frogs. You'll see colorful Diademed sifakas and other lemurs before heading back to your hotel.

- Day 10
Andasibe to Antananarivo
Walk through Analamazaotra National Park with a guide, looking through another pristine rainforest. Keep an eye out for lemurs you might have missed, especially the indri indri, which is the largest lemur species and has loud, distinctive calls and impressive leaps. After exploring, it's a 4-hour drive back to Antananarivo.

- Day 11
Antananarivo
Visit the Royal Hill of Ambohimanga in the morning, one of Madagascar's three UNESCO World Heritage sites and the former residence of King Andrianampoinimerina (who ruled 1788-1810). Your guide will walk you through zebu sacrificial squares, wooden palaces, and royal cemeteries to learn about Madagascar's royal history and customs. After exploring, you'll head to the airport for your departure flight.
