I wish my first guide, in Antananarivo and Andasibe, spoke better English. There were many instances where I tried to get information on my surroundings or the culture and was met with a nervous laugh of incomprehension. So when I really needed something I would speak very simple English or switch to broken French. I felt the tour was worth what I paid, especially considering that breakfast and dinner were included each day.Show more

Domestic flight is not included in the price, it is an additional cost at about 250USD per person per flight. For this tour, there is no very difficult walk. On average it is about 3hours per day and no high mountain climbing. Lightweight walking boot shoes and trainers is recommended. Tennis is fine for the hikes.

The airport you should fly into madagascar is the Antananarivo Ivato Airport (TNR). With this New change, it is better if you arrive one day before which is on January 6th. Pick up will be arranged at 9am and drop off around 3pm on 14th according to the domestic flight schedule. For your flight back to Dar El Salam Tanzania, you will use the Antananarivo Ivato Airport as well. The price for solo traveler on this group tour package is usd 2734, you will be accommodated in a private room.
