Athens
Land in Athens and check into your hotel. You'll have the afternoon and early evening to walk around the city on your own, getting a feel for the place. Later, you'll meet up with your Travel Director and the rest of the group for a light dinner.

- Day 2
Athens
Join a guided tour this morning that takes you through Athens' ancient sites. You'll see the Acropolis, Parthenon, Royal Palace, and Temple of Zeus, then tour the Acropolis Museum with plenty of time to take it all in. The afternoon opens up for you to wander through the Plaka district, sit in Syntagma Square, or track down some really good souvlaki around the city.

Athens - Corinth - Mycenae - Epidaurus - Nafplion
Head out this morning and cross the Corinth Canal to reach the Peloponnesian Peninsula. A Local Specialist leads you through ancient Corinth and then to Mycenae to see the Beehive Tombs, Lion Gate, and Agamemnon's Palace. From there, you'll stop at Epidaurus to check out the ancient theater and Sanctuary of Asclepius. By evening, you'll arrive in the charming Venetian town of Nafplion for dinner at your hotel.

Nafplion - Olympia
Travel through the Arcadian mountains on your way to Olympia. Along the route, you'll stop at a family-run honey farm to taste thyme-infused honey and learn about how locals protect the region's biodiversity. After that, walk through the ancient Olympic Games site. In the evening, you'll head to the Karabelas family's olive and wine estate for homecooked food, traditional dancing, and genuine Greek hospitality.

Olympia - Patras - Delphi
Start with a Local Specialist exploring the ancient Olympic site, its museum, and the ruined Temples of Zeus and Hera. Then head north along the coast to Patras, cross the Gulf of Corinth back to mainland Greece, and drive toward Delphi. If cooking interests you, there's an optional interactive cooking lesson where you can try preparing traditional Greek dishes.

Walk the Sacred Way this morning with a Local Specialist leading you to the 4th-century Temple of Apollo and the statues that honored athletes from the Pythian Games. Next, you'll travel to Thermopylae where Leonidas and his Spartans made their famous stand. The drive continues through the fertile Thessaly plain, known as Greece's breadbasket, and you'll arrive in Kalambaka by evening.

Spend time visiting the UNESCO World Heritage monasteries of Meteora, going inside two of the six remarkable Eastern Orthodox monasteries that sit on towering rock formations. Later you'll drive back to Athens for the scenic journey. That evening, you'll have a final dinner with your travel companions to talk through everything you've seen this week.

Sail to the Turkish coastline and visit Kusadasi for a shore experience to the ancient city of Ephesus. From there, continue to Patmos, where St. John wrote the Book of Revelations. Optional visits include the Cave of the Apocalypse and St. John's Monastery if you want to explore further.
