Athens
You'll arrive in Athens and head to your hotel to settle in. The rest of the day is open for you to explore the city on your own, whether that's wandering through neighborhoods or grabbing coffee at a local café. This evening you'll meet your Travel Director and the rest of the group for a light meal.

- Day 2
Athens
Start with a guided tour of the Acropolis complex led by a Local Specialist, taking in the Parthenon, Royal Palace, and Temple of Zeus. After that, you'll visit the included Acropolis Museum. Later in the morning, you'll see Hadrian's Arch and the Olympic Stadium. The afternoon is yours to spend however you like, whether checking out the Plaka district, wandering Syntagma Square, or hunting down some souvlaki for lunch.

Athens to Nafplion
You'll leave Athens and cross the Corinth Canal to reach the Peloponnesian Peninsula. A Local Specialist will guide you through ancient Corinth, then you'll head to Mycenae to see the Beehive Tombs, Lion Gate, and Agamemnon's Royal Palace. From there, it's on to Epidaurus to visit the ancient theatre and Sanctuary of Asclepius. By evening you'll arrive in Nafplion and have dinner at your hotel.

You'll travel through the Arcadian mountains toward Olympia, stopping first at a family-run honey farm to taste thyme-infused honey and learn about how traditional practices protect the region's biodiversity. After exploring the birthplace of the Olympic Games, this evening brings a Be My Guest experience with the Karabelas family at their olive and wine estate, complete with homecooked food, traditional dancing, and authentic Greek hospitality.

If you're interested, there's an optional interactive cooking lesson available to prepare some local dishes during your free time.

Next, there's a scenic drive to Thermopylae, the historic site where Leonidas and his Spartans made their stand against the Persians. You'll then cross the fertile Thessaly plain, known as Greece's breadbasket, before arriving in Kalambaka.

Your first stop is the UNESCO World Heritage monasteries of Meteora. Then you'll drive back to Athens for a final dinner with your travel companions to celebrate your journey through Greece.
