Itinerary
- Day 1
Reykjavik to Hellisandur
A pickup happens at 9 am from central Reykjavik, then you'll head to Borgarfjordur to see Deildartunguhver, which is Europe's largest hot spring. You can choose between going to the Krauma geothermal baths or spending time at a nearby farm with Icelandic horses. After that, travel to Reykholt to check out the medieval poet Snorri Sturluson's former home, and visit Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls nearby. If the weather cooperates, you'll look for Northern Lights in the evening.

Hellisandur to Snaefellsnes Peninsula to Reykjavik
Following breakfast, you'll travel to Djupalonssandur Beach on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula to see dramatic coastal scenery and take a short hike along the black pebble shoreline. The area has a shipwrecked British trawler from 1948, and you'll get views of Kirkjufell mountain along the way. Before heading back to Reykjavik, you'll see Snaefellsjokull glacier from a distance. The evening leaves you free to explore the city on your own.

Reykjavik to South Coast to Hof
You'll start with breakfast in Reykjavik, then travel along the South Coast through moss-covered lava fields and past small villages. There's a hike behind Seljalandsfoss waterfall, then a visit to Skogafoss at the base of Eyjafjallajokull volcano. From there, you'll head to Reynisfjara black sand beach with its basalt cliffs and sea stacks, pass through Vik, and reach your accommodation in Hof. The evening is for searching for Northern Lights if conditions allow.

Hof to Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon to Reykjavik
Your final day includes visiting Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach to see ice sculptures and floating icebergs washed ashore. You'll explore an ice cave with an expert guide, looking at the deep blue ice formations and light effects inside the glacier. Next is Vatnajokull National Park and the Skaftafell Nature Reserve with its mountain and glacier views. You'll search for Northern Lights during the return journey to Reykjavik, arriving between 9 pm and 11 pm.
