Marrakech to Dades Valley
Your Morocco journey kicks off with a hotel pickup in Marrakech, then you'll head out through the Atlas Mountains where Berber villages dot the landscape. The road takes you toward Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO-listed kasbah that's quite striking up close. After grabbing lunch somewhere along the route, you'll continue past Ouarzazate and through the Valley of Kasbahs before settling into your accommodation in Dades Valley for the night.

Dades Valley to Merzouga
Following breakfast, you'll travel to the Todra Gorges near Tinghir, stopping at Berber villages and canyons along the way. The palm groves give the landscape a different feel than yesterday. By afternoon you'll reach Merzouga, where you get on a camel for the first time on this trip. The hotel becomes your base for the evening.

Landmarks/POIs Todra Gorge Tinghir - Day 3
Merzouga to Erg Chebbi Dunes
You'll spend the first half of the day out on the Erg Chebbi dunes, checking out nomad settlements and mining areas. There's also local Gnawa music happening. After lunch, you're back on a camel heading to a desert campsite where you'll stay in a private tent. You'll have dinner with local music, then wake before sunrise to catch the dunes at dawn, followed by breakfast.

Erg Chebbi to Ouarzazate
The route from Merzouga takes you through Rissani, Alnif, Tazarine, and Nkoub, all beneath the Anti-Atlas Mountains. You'll pass through Draa Valley with its palm trees and traditional Ksours (fortified villages). Rissani's souk is worth seeing if you hit it on Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday when it's busiest. Alnif is known for fossil discoveries if that interests you. By day's end you'll reach Ouarzazate.

Ouarzazate to Marrakech
Your final day includes the film studios of Ouarzazate and a visit to Ait Benhaddou again, this time with more time to walk the UNESCO site itself and see the earthen clay architecture up close. You'll also stop at Telouet Kasbah, which sits on the old caravan routes across the Sahara. After that, it's the drive back to Marrakech arriving in the late afternoon, wrapping up your five days in Morocco.
