The itinerary lets you appreciate how Iceland is a land of wild beauty, seemingly endless space, and a land of contrasts. One day you hike up an icy glacier, the next it's a volcano with cracks still steaming from its most recent eruption. One day the rain is icy and winds so gusty you can barely walk forward, the next it is perfect blue skies that 40 degrees F feel tropical. You may be able to see the Northern Lights from anywhere in Iceland but there's no guarantee of it unfortunately. It's hit and miss when they will be visible for tourists.
