- Day 1
Munich
You'll arrive at your Munich hotel and get oriented with a tour of the city centre, walking through Marienplatz, the Frauenkirche, and Kaufingerstrasse. The afternoon is yours to wander around on your own, or you can join an optional food and city tour that includes a Bavarian food tasting at Viktualienmarkt. This evening features an included dinner at a historic Bavarian restaurant before you check in.

Munich to Prague
After breakfast, you'll head toward Prague with stops along the way. In Regensburg, there's an orientation tour covering St. Peter's Cathedral and the Old Town. Later you'll reach Pilsen to explore the Old Town and main square, with an optional brewery tour if you're interested. You'll arrive in Prague this evening, check into your hotel, and have an included Czech dinner.

Prague to Budapest
Starting after breakfast, you'll travel from Prague to Budapest, crossing through three countries today. You'll stop in Brno for an orientation tour of the Cathedral of St Peter and Paul, then continue to Bratislava in Slovakia for a walking tour that includes Michael's Gate and St Martin's Cathedral. Later you'll reach Budapest and explore the Buda side with a guided tour, ending with an authentic three-course Hungarian dinner.

You'll head from Budapest to Vienna, stopping in Györ for an orientation tour of this Baroque town including its town square. An included three-course Austrian dinner awaits this evening, plus there's an optional classical musical concert in a historic venue where Mozart performed.

Vienna to Salzburg
From Vienna, you'll travel to Melk on the Danube River and tour the 11th-century Melk Abbey with an expert guide, exploring its decorations and medieval manuscript library. Afterward, you'll head to Salzburg for an orientation tour of the Cathedral, Residenzplatz, and Mozart's birthplace. An optional excursion to Sound of Music filming locations is available, and you'll check in to your hotel later.

You'll stop at Herrenchiemsee Palace and Park, taking a boat ride out to Herreninsel on Chiemsee lake. The afternoon is free to explore Herrenchiemsee Castle and the monastery, grab German lunch at your leisure, then return by boat and continue to Munich. You'll spend your last evening however you choose, and there's an optional group dinner.
