Asked on June 21st, 2025Next year my husband will be 77. He is well and fit for his age and we travel independently often. It says on this trip suitable for ages up to 75. I am 68 years. As we are both well and fit would the age be a problem? Just before I book?
Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written June 2025That should not be a problem but it will actually be up to your husband if he wishes to participate with our tour, given it's active nature. We believe the best way to get to the heart and soul of a city is on foot, surrounded by the people and the culture. For this reason, we do walking tours through most of the cities we visit. Many of the cities you visit are vast and old, often with steps and cobblestones. Our walking tours can last up to 3 hours with plenty of opportunities to take photographs and soak up the history of these fascinating places, but you do require a certain level of fitness to enjoy your tour to its fullest. If the above information is fine with your husband and will not post any risks for him, then he is more than welcome to the tour.

Your mom is welcome to join the tour as long as she is aware of the level of fitness required. We do walking tours through cities that can last up to 3 hours with steps and cobblestones. She needs a certain level of fitness to enjoy the tour fully.

Asked on April 3rd, 2025I have been considering your Eastern Highlights tour for next year but a couple of your reviews mention having to use public transport a lot to and from the hotels as they are away from the city centres. As the reviews are from a few years ago I wondered if that is still the case as that would be quite a significant difficulty for me.

We do make use of public transport which is guided by your tour leader in some cities which is sometimes the best way to move around and see so much. Most of the time we make use of the coach when driving between cities.

Our cancellation policy is as follows, If you or any other member of your party decides to cancel your confirmed package you must notify us in writing or via call. If you cancel within 10 days of creating your booking and you are not yet within 60 days of departure, you will be eligible for a full refund. 60 days or more before departure = Loss of deposit, 45 - 59 days before departure = 20% of tour cost, 30 - 44 days before departure = 40% of tour cost, 15 - 29 days before departure = 70% of tour cost, 14 days or less before departure = 100% of tour cost.
