From start to finish, it was clear that she is not only incredibly passionate about what she does but also highly organized and thoughtful in every aspect of the tour. Her deep knowledge and love for the area shined through, making each stop not just a point on a map, but a meaningful experience. - Vince· July 24th, 2023Do not use tour radar and expat. False advertising. What they don’t tell you is 1) Hotels are old and no AC in most of them. 2) it’s only a orientation tour, no time to actually go inside most places you visit. Here is 4th largest church in the world but no you can’t go inside because there is not time. Same thing happened over and over. 3) Stupid rule about moving 4 rows every day in bus. You follow the rule and then get chastised when other people don’t follow the rule and start moving your stuff to a different seat because they think that is their seat. I could care less where I sit but don’t want to get in trouble just because others can’t count. I’m the bad guy right. Wrong. Even their stupid seating charts are wrong each day and no one follows it. 4) They make you think the optional dinners are great but don’t be fooled. You pay like $50 a person in cash non refundable and get to the restaurant and realize it’s crappy food and crappy atmosphere. Certainly not worth $50 a person. Plan your own vacation. You will be better off trust me. Little more work to research but worth it in the end. Expat and tour radar unwilling to refund any money even though we didn’t end up using their hotels for part of the nights because it was 90 degrees or more in the room and the hotel would not even provide a fan. Avoid expat and avoid tourradar.Show moreTrip date: July 2023

Asked on April 13th, 2025Are We supposed to book and pay for optional excursions before the trip or do we do that once the trip starts?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written April 2025
Unless an excursion is specifically marked as pre-booked, you can book all optional excursions once the tour begins. You'll be able to pay your tour leader directly, either in cash or by card (in the stated currency). Super easy and flexible!

Asked on March 27th, 2025Looking for a River Cruise that allows us to sleep on the ship. We would like to go in June for 5 to 10 days. Preferably in Europe our age is in the late 70's but we are very very active.
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written March 2025
Expat Explore does not offer dedicated river cruises where travelers sleep on board throughout the journey. Our tours primarily operate as land-based coach tours, with some including short scenic river cruises as part of the itinerary, while overnight stays are in hotels.

Asked on March 25th, 2025Can you give me a daily breakdown please of the coach travel time plus how long is allocated in each stop per day? Can you give example names of hotels that may be used on this trip please?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written March 2025
We do not have the daily breakdown of the Travel Time and daily activity timings readily available for our customers. That info is reserved for the Tour Leader as a guide, which is prepared close to the departure. If you already have a confirmed booking, you may send us a message through that booking to ask for the Hotel List contracted for the tour.

Asked on March 22nd, 2025How much time are we on the bus between cities?

Traveler•Written March 2025Is our luggage handled throughout the trip?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written March 2025
You will have to carry your own luggage into hotels and up to your room if hotels don't have lifts. You are permitted to take one piece of main luggage with you on the coach to a maximum weight of 20kg. Maximum dimensions are 75cm x 43cm x 90cm.

Mike
Traveler•Written March 2025Do most of the hotels have lifts? If not, can we request the first floor as to not have to take our luggage up the stairs?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written March 2025
Not all hotels have lifts and if a lift isn't available, guests will need to carry their own luggage up the stairs. We can put in a request for a ground/first-floor room, but this isn't guaranteed as room assignments are arranged randomly and subject to availability.

Asked on February 12th, 2025I was just wondering if we have enough time to explore places like neuschwanstein castle and other places because I saw from the reviews that the tour is fast paced which I can see it's 9 days I just wanna know how much time we have for these scenic spots in Europe.
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written February 2025
Throughout the tours that we offer, there will be Free Times so that customers can choose to either enjoy the city they are in, on their own, or join an Optional Excursion that is offered. However, for listed highlights of the tour like Neuschwanstein Castle, the tour leader allows the group to enjoy the site but also balancing the pace so that all listed Highlights of the tour are covered.

Asked on February 11th, 2025Does the trip include transfers to/from the airport to the hotel(s). Is trasportation on this trip on motor coach, or are there portions we take the train? We're looking to book a trip that includes Germany, Switzerland, and perhaps some other destinations. We like the idea of having a portion of our trip via train. Our main purpose for the trip is to attend a few days of Oktoberfest in Munich. Hense, the month of September/early October.
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written February 2025
The Tours that we (Expat Explore) offer are Coach Tours, and this means that travelers who book our tours will be using our own Coach/Bus while traveling through each country visited. At the same time, I also wanted to share that we only offer Tours with Pre-set of Itinerary and Countries Visited and we cannot offer customizations at this point.
