Itinerary
- Day 1
Hanoi to Duong Lam
Your private transfer picks you up at Noi Bai International Airport and heads northwest toward Duong Lam. The drive takes around 2.5 hours through changing landscapes. Once you arrive at your private homestay in this ancient village, you'll have time to settle in and get comfortable for the night.
- Day 2
Nghia Lo
After breakfast, you'll walk through Duong Lam village for about 2 hours. This UNESCO-protected area has houses dating back 100-400 years, with temples dedicated to two kings from around 1200 years ago and gardens throughout. Lunch happens in the village before heading out on a scenic drive through rural countryside with rice paddies, tea plantations, and limestone formations. By evening you'll reach Nghia Lo and stay with a White Thai family in their traditional stilt house.

Khau Pha Mountain Pass - Tu Le
Start early with a bike ride around the paddy fields, watching villagers and animals working. You'll have breakfast outside with views across the rice terraces. After checking out, you'll cross over Khau Pha Mountain Pass where rice field views open up in Tu Le below. The mountain pass offers some dramatic scenery as you make your way through the region.

Nam Co Village - La Pan Tan - Kim Noi Village
You'll start at Ba Nha Bridge, then drive to Nam Co Village to see H'mong people in traditional clothing and check out the local market if it's a market day. Later you'll head to La Pan Tan and Mam Soi terraced rice fields for a hilltop viewpoint. The day's main activity is a trek starting from Kim Noi Village through Hang Dang De to Che Cu Nha, with a picnic lunch on the rice terraces. Dinner and overnight stay happen back in Kim Noi at a Thai family-run homestay.

Than Uyen - Sapa - O Quy Ho Pass - Love Waterfall
The drive from Mu Cang Chai to Sapa takes you through Than Uyen on a dramatic mountain road with hairpin turns offering new views constantly. You'll cross the Hoang Lien Son mountain range and experience O Quy Ho Pass, which offers some great perspectives of northern Vietnam's landscape. A stop at Love Waterfall's entrance includes a 1 km walk to see the area's scenery up close.

Muong Hoa Valley - Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai - Ta Van
Trekking starts at 9:00 AM from Sapa, heading down into Muong Hoa valley with panoramic views of both the town and valley below. After 4 km you'll take smaller trails through rice terraces and reach Y Linh Ho hamlet and a Black Hmong village. Walking along the river leads to Lao Chai village where you'll visit local families and learn about their traditional house building and cloth-making. Lunch happens at a local riverside restaurant. In the afternoon, trek on to Ta Van village, home to the Giay people, where you'll visit more families, have green tea, and understand their culture better. Late afternoon brings you back to Sapa for dinner and an overnight stay while taking in the town's evening views.

Bac Ha District - Hanoi
After breakfast, you'll trek around Bac Ha district for approximately 10 km, visiting local ethnic villages in Ta Van Chu area. Lunch happens at a local restaurant before a private car takes you back to Hanoi in the evening, ending your northern Vietnam mountain experience.
