Itinerary
- Day 1
Ubud
You'll arrive in Ubud and get settled at your hotel in the early afternoon. This gives you time to acclimate and walk around the area a bit before dinner. The town sits in Bali's hills, and you'll get a feel for the place as you explore nearby.

Ubud
A member of the Royal family takes you through Puri Sukawati palace to learn about Balinese royal history. You'll watch a traditional Balinese dance after, then spend time in a cooking class with a royal chef preparing lunch together. Your tour director hosts a welcome dinner back at the hotel this evening.

Kintamani
The day starts with a Barong dance performance, then you head to Mas to see wood carving artisans at work. From there, Celuk shows you silver craftsmanship. You'll visit Bunung Kawi temple carved into cliffs, drive up to Kintamani for Mount Batur views, and finish at Goa Gajah. Lunch includes views of the active volcano and lake.

Ubud to Candidasa
Ubud's cultural highlights fill your day starting with the Neka Art Museum for Balinese art. The Threads of Life textile center and local art market come next. You'll end at the Royal Palace before driving to Candidasa on the eastern coast for the evening.

A vintage Volkswagen takes you through rice paddies with Mount Agung in view. You'll tour Puri Agung palace and work on inscribing a palm leaf manuscript at the Lontar Museum. The Tirta Gangga and Taman Ujung water palaces are next, with lunch at a waterside pavilion. The evening is free to relax.

Candidasa to Borobudur
You transfer to Denpasar airport, fly to Yogyakarta, then continue by car to your hotel in Borobudur. It's mostly travel time getting you to the next region of the tour.

Borobudur
Borobudur Temple Complex is massive, with over 500 Buddha statues and is the world's largest single Buddhist monument. After, you head to Candirejo village surrounded by plantations and green fields. A gamelan music demonstration happens before lunch at a local spot.

You take a train through volcanic terrain to Mojokerto, then ride by coach through classic Javanese countryside. The route takes you to Bromo, where one of the world's most active and famous volcanoes sits waiting.

Bromo to Nusa Dua
Early morning brings you to Mount Bromo for clear views over the active crater and the Tengger massif. A late breakfast happens al fresco in the national park. Later, you fly from Surabaya back to Denpasar and transfer to your hotel in Nusa Dua.
